I'm so fustrated! We have had three closing dates! We found out yesterday the third one which was supposed to be today has been moved yet AGAIN! Has anyone else had this problem? I'm about ready to give up!

The only advice I have for you is to hang in there!! :hangin: My closing date was moved 3 or 4 times for various reasons. It was VERY frustrating but I knew that there was a lot involved to get everthing set up in order to close. I am an insurance agent and have to provide insurance binders on home closings all of the time. It seems to be common that I am told they will close on a certain date and it gets delayed many times. Yesterday one of my insureds closings was delayed because some of the paperwork had the word Drive missing from the street name. This is after it was already delayed once and they had overlooked that little detail. I know it is frustrating, but it will all work out.

Hi LadyG,
I think moving closing dates is common. It' s happened to us each time we've bought a house and when we sold our home. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there, one of the dates is bound to stick!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. They're shooting for sometime next week now but we don't have an exact date. Hopefully soon though.

LadyG,
Hopefully by now you have closed on your house.
I certainly understand the frustration you have had... and I wish that I didn't! Our situation was rather convaluted... we were renting from a very difficult and unstable landlady who we were going to by the house from... and our house note was dependant on FEMA, SBA, and then we had a construction loan wrapped into the loan. After MONTHS of placating our land lady, finally at the end, my husband's patience finally came to an end and it was my turn to step up and deal with her. Since the situation so SO TENSE I was practically lurking in the parking lot for the closing agent to be sure that we had the papers 24 hours in advance of the closing (as was required for our loan). We needed the situation to get resolved as soon as possible and I was certainly going to do everything I could to make that happen. We were blessed along the way to have the nicest, most patient realtor in the world. She remains a friend of ours.
To anyone that is having a difficult closing, I just want to tell y'all to have faith and to hang in there... it will happen EVENTUALLY. ;)
