Hi Kate,
I love that my hours are flexible, that is I go in early and am home by 4:15pm, and I only have to work 4 hours on Fridays. Than of course there's location, location, location! My morning commute takes me about 10 minutes, afternoons about 15-20 minutes.
That's great, Kim! It's great that you work so close to work. At my former job, I worked about 3 miles away. It was so nice to be able to run home and have lunch. And flexible hours are a plus as well. My new job is allowing me to do that. Means I can't be late. ;)

I love my job! I can work as many or as few hours as I like from the comfort of my own home. I can wear what I want, look horrible or fabulous, and eat at my workstation, too! I can be interrupted with hugs and kisses from my family members and can get up and leave without telling anyone to run errands, go to Curves, etc. :D
I can work at odd hours day or night if something is troubling me or I can choose not to show up at all for a day without telling anyone. (I've never tested that out, though!) I connect with wonderful women from all over the world and though I've never met any of them, I consider some of them to be close friends. We cyberhug, laugh, cry, rejoice together and share our sorrows.
The wonderful place I work is........ HysterSisters! :D

I have worked in the school system as a secretary for years. One of the best things are the hours and the days off with the kids. I also like the staff that work in schools, very caring, professional, and interesting people with a wide range of knowledge. I like working with people that give so much time and effort in educating our children.
I am now subbing part time, and this allows me to do other things that I enjoy, the downfall is the pay is minimal.

What I love about my job is the members, we are small and there are only 2 of us that work here so you get to know them on a personal level. :) Poppie

I love helping the elderly people I work for because they can stay in their own homes. It's very important to me to make sure I do all I can so they have this opportunity. Many of their friends have been whisked off to nursing homes because , 1. their children find it easier 2. they can not afford to have home help and the state has taken over their care or 3. they can't find good help. I started by cleaning their homes 18 years ago and my job has morphed into much more then that for all of them. I feel very tired , but very gratified at the end of my work day.

I love my boss! She's the best! (Wait a minute, I am the boss. Scratch that. )
I love that my job is never the same day to day. I never know what issue is going to walk through the door. We also really do help people. There's nothing like the look on a person's face when they've just bought their first home.

My job duties are: whatever needs to be done. I work in a small office (2 people) for a big corporation. So I have the big company benefits without the big company politics. :)

Ms Big Butt, it is the big company politics that bother me the most about my current position. I've always worked for smaller companies, so don't really do the big corporation politic thing well. :p

I really like my fellow employees. They come from various ethnic backgrounds and I learn so much from them. I also work only 4 days a week, by my choice and have the freedom to work more if I'd like.

I teach in a practical nursing program. The thing I love most about my job is the students. Most are mothers or fathers that have never had the opportunity to make more than minimum wage. They are dedicated to getting their LPN license to better their children's lives. It gives me great joy to walk a "baby nurse" through her/his first procedure on a "live" patient. They are scared to death and I'm able to walk them through it and see them develop the confidence they will need to care for patients in many settings. It's a GREAT job, but the pay sucks. Oh well, can't have it all!!!!

I love nearly everything about my job ( most of the time anyway ;)
My co workers are nice , caring people, my boss is very understanding and doesn't hesitate in giving time off for personal stuff. But most of all I work with children and they are always full of suprises and doing amusing things.

I work with people and their problems, everyday needs, etc. I love the personal aspect of my position. I enjoy being there when someone needs to talk. I also enjoy being able to celebrate personal gains with other people and knowing that in some small way, I've had a part of that. I also like the fact that it never gets boring. When you work with people, no two days are alike! Works well for me!

I love that my job is very flexible. I work fairly short hours Monday through Thursday and then half days on Fridays. I am basically my own boss, with a few instructions from my dad. We are the only two in the office...so that is nice. We are in the insurance business and things get hectic at times but it is rewarding when you help out a client in need. My dad has always taught me to go above and beyond to help people out and to be completly honest (suprise!...some insurance agents arent) :D ...I love making people happy with their decision to choose us.

Oh my, where do I start? I simply love my job!!!
I love that we work in a wonderful, productive environment where employees are valued.
I love that I'm part of a wonderful team. We get along, have fun "team outings" and complement each other.
I love that I'm doing something I believe in.

All of it! For a few precious hours a week, I'm called by my name instead of 'mummy'! I love my husband and kids more than I can put into words, but need time to use other skills too and to be the 'me' I was before they all came along.
And I get paid. I figure if I've earned the money, I have some say over how it is spent ;)
Love,

I love the flexibility I have and that I can choose the days/hours I want to work. I love meeting new people and helping them reach their dreams. I can work it all around hubbies dr appts and if he has a bad day I know I can call my appt and they are always understanding and will reschedule. I am a beauty consultant and love my products. I treat my customers like royalty and always go over and above. They reward me with loyalty and even bring me meals when hubby is really bad. Being a caregiver is hard and my business gives me hope for my future. :)

I love my job-displaying the newest clothes at Coldwater Creek. I get to help open new stores as well as keep my own store beautiful and enticing. I had to be 50 before I found my niche!

I LOVE my job. I work for a structural engineering firm. We have about 50 employees, and we all get along very well. The bosses are just one of us. We work hard, and get rewarded both verbally and monetarily. Their profit is our profit. Quite a few of us get together outside of work pretty often. Plus, I love the work I do. I am very lucky. Not much in the way of office politics, either. I've been there almost 14 years and hope to stay until I retire.
I am loving my current supervisor! She has made me feel important and she's wanting me to learn a few other positions there so that I can move around some while I'm in school. She's only filling in until they hire a new office manager, but I have really enjoyed having her there. I will be sad when she leaves. She's changed my mind about women's bosses. I've had my fair share of mean ones. lol

Oh my gosh I could go on and on about what I love about my job! I work for the YMCA and being in a Christian environment all the time is so great! The people I work with may be challenging at times but all are so wonderful. I love the one on one contact that I get when training people, also teaching classes fo grade school kids that come in and also taking a new person through the whole starting with the Y and getting them all set to succeed!

Boxermama,
You go girl! Coldwater Creek has the most awesome displays! I just drool over their catalogs even when I don't particularly lust for anything... they make it all look so seductive. You should be proud to be part of that!

I love my jobs. I'm a therapist in my own private practice as well as a homemaker wife and mother. I make my own hours so I have the flexibility to do alot of extra things. I like that I can be available for my family as well as my clients and still have time to do fun things for myself.

I absolutely love my job (well, most of it anyway! ;) ) I am a social worker in a nursing home and work mostly with patients who are long term care, many of whom don't have anyone who really visits or cares for them.
I am fortunate enough to work part-time, off on Fridays, and have an understanding and flexible direct supervisor.
The best part of my job? The days when the sweet little ladies or men who have Alzheimers hug you and thank you because no one else takes the time to give them the little bit of extra time/help they need. Going home knowing I may have made a difference in their lives (even if they only remember it for that day) is awesome!
I also love working with my two teams of staff - the housekeepers, CNA's, LPN's, maintenance, etc. - I consider them all my "family."
There are days of frustration because administration makes decisions based on $$$, not on the patients, where I want to walk away. But then I remind myself that if I did that, I wouldn't be there to stand up for them and fight for them. Okay, I'll stop now, but I really do love my job! :p
What I love most about my job, are the "children"! I am currently not working but my field is "Early Childhood Education" & I deal with "pre-schoolers" which are so adorable. However, sometimes it gets too hectic & I seriously think of changing careers. I may go back on a part time basis. :smiliewav

My job lets me solve problems, stay mentally alert and physically motivated, lets me feel I am helping others and socializing while accomplishing those things!
I have a staff of 20 who rejuvinate me every day!! They amaze me at how hard they work, learn and manage the busy day I expect from them while balancing thier personal lives. we have had hula hoop contests and food fests to relieve stress, and we are fiercly competitive with the other work teams...we are the best!
I work in a call center for man insurance company...and we are VERY : busy every day!

I love the fact that I get 25 vacation days a yeae and 3 personal days. I get paid for Thanksgiving & the day after, as well as for Christmas and the day after. We close 2 or 3 days for end of the year inventory, so if I have no more days left, I just take those off with no pay. Of course, I've been with the company for 23 years, and we all work so physically hard that we should get even more than that.

I love working out of my home as a captioner
for the hearing impaired. I can wear what I want...or don't want
and it doesn't matter if my hair is brushed or makeup is on.
I work the hours I choose and can work in the middle of the night
if I can sleep...I love that what I am doing is helping others.
I do get lonely...miss being with people...yet, then again,
I can choose who I want to be with and don't have to put up
with the rest!!!!

I really like the fact that the direction and approach to our department is constantly changing. I know most people do not like change but I thrive on it. If I had to go to a routine non-changing job everyday I know I would not have stayed at my present employer for 12 years. :p
