Time for Idol again. Can't wait to see how the remaining 6 do on tonight's show with Andrea Bocelli' s love songs. It should be a good show!

My hubby and I usually watch AI every week. I can't imagine they will have to only choose from Andrea Bocelli's songs...who can sing like him??? :confused: I don't think any one of the remaining contestants could perform one of his songs very well...so I'm leaning towards believing it will be love songs in general.

She looks pretty tonight, hair back....wish she would smile a bit. I think its boring and about fall out of my chair catching some zzzzz's... I like her better when she is perky.

Randy: The second week in a row, you think you butchered this one too, right? It was just very strange this one. Not the right song.
Paula: Its hard at this point in the competition I don't see you raising the bar. At this point its about greatness. But I don't see it.
Simon: This song deserved tears but for different reasons. It was boring and neverending. You were like a robot.

She is a secret weapon. Her voice always surprises me. I like her singing but laugh when she talks. Cracks me up. Love her outfit.

Simon: A bit of impersonating an older person, a bit old fashioned. Off you go, Ryan so we can get them all on tonight.

Taylor: Just Once

I like this guy. I know he has a different style...but I do like him because he is different. I like him better when he's doing southern punchy songs. This was okay...but not great for me.

Randy: I don't know what's going on. That song was completely wrong. That was weird karoake.
Paula: It wasn't my favorite song. You look handsome tonight.
Simon: Taking that performance out of AI you would see anything like that in any hotel lounge.

He's in a suit and looks good. Song starts out slow...Guitars crowding him out at first. Last part better than first. He's awesome.

Kelly needs to go home. She is not improving and isn't in the same league. I wasn't impressed with Paris either. I didn't like the song. Taylor just wasn't "on" tonight. I like him though.

Does everyone realise that both Taylor and Kellie were NEVER in the bottom 3????????? Well, I think that changes tonight although I think Kellie deserves it more than Taylor.

What's up with the judges concerning Katherine? I thought she did a terrific job with a very difficult song.

I like Paris very much and I don't know why alot of people don't like her. I know her speaking voice can get to you but she CAN sing!

I loved the color of Katharine's dress.
Elliott looks less like a Vulcan-Gomer Pyle hybrid, than he did at the beginning. :)
Kellie seemed uncomfortable and lacking confidence.
Paris has a lot of potential for such a young age.
Taylor reminds me of a mediocre lounge singer.
I love the song Chris chose, and enjoyed his performance. :D

I suspect Kellie, Katharine and Taylor will be in the bottom three tonight, and Katharine will get the axe. I don't personally think she deserves it, but it seems like she isn't drawing the "following" like the others are. :confused:

Right now it looks like Kellie and Katherine are safe but it is very close with the other 4. Paris is at the bottom of the voting but as I said it is still very close and it could change by this evening's show. I thought for sure Kellie would be gone this week but right now it doesn't look that way. I would love to know who is voting for her????? Kathy, if you'll go to dialidol.com they have some scientific thing on the busy signals. In the beginning they weren't very accurate, they've been tweaking how they figure the numbers and appear to be getting much more accurate. They've been fairly accurate since they did the tweaks.

Another good source is Mj's blog. She writes a blog on the Idols and appears to get some inside information. The blog is very well written. I enjoy reading her comments and rumors. http://mjsbigblog.com/categories/americanidol/

I would love to know who is voting for her????? Come on people, she was horrible 2 weeks in a row and this IS a singing competition. She seems to be getting the sympathy votes.
In my opinion, Kellie charmed viewers at the start and they have stuck with her; visually, "the camera loves her;" and the C&W fans who used to vote for Buckie are probably now in her fan club. ;) I like Kellie, too, but I feel she is not keeping pace with the others. She entered the competition very strong, and seems to be fading, while many of them are improving and becoming and more confident. That's too bad for her. :confused:

Kathy, Another site is zabasearch.com where they track the votes each week and they are accurate as well as long as you wait for the finals to be tabulated. As of now, Paris is still on the bottom. I usually check it out right before Idol starts. Sometimes the total tabulations are not complete yet but the person on the bottom has been the one eliminated the past three weeks since I found that site.

Well, I really love Katherine and I think she did a fabulous performance last night, as usual. One thing about the judging...I think it is unfair for them to accuse the singers of trying to be like or better than the singer who originally did the song. The contestants are given choices of songs and when they pick a certain song it doesn't mean they are trying to outperform the original. Just my rant...seemed like last night Katherine got picked on relative to her song choice.

I agree...Kellie needs to go. She has shown she isn't capable of having a broad range relative to style of music. She is basically a C&W singer, and she is great in her genre. She is very pretty and has a cute personality, but those things are not going to carry her through this competition.

Chris is my fav guy. Seems like no matter what he sings, he does great!!

Elliott has never appealed to me, voice-wise or appearance-wise.

Paris is very talented, and I really think she is going to make it in the business either way...her family has connections and after AI is overwith she will be all set.

Taylor is a cutie...and I do like his style and his voice, and he may just have what it takes to make this "his" competition.

I'm going to check out some of those websites that have the tabulations...just because I'm curious.

I wholeheartedly agree with this assessment. Without a doubt, Paris "has the right stuff" and, IMHO, all she needs is a few more years of maturity, vocal training/coaching, and dedication to her goal of vocal performance...if that is indeed her goal. Since she is originally from "my neck of the woods" (Minneapolis, MN) the newspapers here focus on her in their weekly review of AI. From what was reported, she wants to be an OB/GYN which is a terrific career goal. But if she changes her mind and really concentrates on vocal performance, I think she could succeed in that field as well.

I saw an interview with Randy. He said all 4 of them haven't been getting along. Too much stress and time together he thought, but all was well now.

I am very happy to see that Katharine and Chris were the top 2!! And I think Kellie probably could see it coming...she sure is a cutie and has quite a personality. Who knows...she may end up on TV or in the movies. I sure would like it if she were able to get a chance to improve her life and the lives of her family.

I agree, I think Katherine and Chris will be the final two. I liked Kellie because she was from my state.She has a great personality but I never thought she was the best singer. Chris is also from my state, so I will be pulling for him to the end. Go Chris Go!!!! He lives in the same neighborhood as my sister in law, but it is a rather large neighborhood and she doesnt know him pesonally. Cant wait till next week...............

I did read that Taylor was made to change his song yet again! That could explain him not being comfortable with what he was singing. Why are they picking on him? Because they don't him to win? The Soul Patrol needs to pick up the pace next week!
