Does Jesus count? I love to read his words in the Greek scriptures. He seems so gentle but strong and is such a good reminder to me to treat others with care.

I love Lori Wick's books! She is the best in the inspirational romance genre in my opinion. I also enjoy Wanda Brunstetter's books set in the Amish communities.

Yes, indeed He counts! I love reading about His parables ...they are simple but powerful, and so inspiring.

Karlene,
Absolutely, any other author comes in a distant second.
I have to admit that I don't have a "favorite". There are so many good ones, and it depends on my mood at the moment.

Hi ~ I'm new on here & this is my "first" official post!! My hands-down, all-time favorite Christian author is Jan Karon!!! I LOVE her "Mitford" books!! If you have never heard of Jan Karon & her Mitford series, by all means, type in Jan Karon on your computer search & you will get her web-site. The Mitford series consists of 9 books about an adorable little town, called Mitford, and the people who live in the town. They are wonderful, charming & very uplifting books!! They are guaranteed to win your heart!! I also love anything by Karen Kingsbury & Janette Oke!! I am a Christian fiction fan & won't read any other kind of fiction!!
I love Max Lucado. He writes with humor and insight and I really enjoy his books.
I second you on this! I enjoy his books.

Hi--Without a doubt my fave author has to be Max Lucado. He paints pictures with his words and makes things so easy to understand. He gets you to think "outside of the box" and makes you realize just how much God does love you!

I LOVE Joyce Meyer's books, and have a lot of them. She puts everything in such wonderful perspective and is a person I can relate to. She is from my hometown (St. Louis) and had a rough childhood, but has risen above it all.
She is truly an inspiration to me and many others! :D
I don't have a whole lot of time to read now,it is my favorite activitey. The Bible is to me the most important to make time for, but for the rest...there are so many.... Some of my favorites like you've mentioned are Karen Kingsbury, Tracee Peterson, Joyce Meyer, Max Lucado. My friend just brought me "Forgiven" by Karen Kingsbury last night, but I have lots of homework to do before I start it!

I like Joyce Meyers a lot too. For my Bible study group, we have been reading Francine Rivers books about women in the bible and I really enjoy them.
