Nascar is all around us!

Okay you may have to be a off kilter to understand this ... DH pointed it out to me and now I'm seeing it everywhere.

We were driving home from a trip to the closest large town when he points to a 'speed limit 45' and says "every time I see numbers I think of the driver." So he saw 'speed limit Kyle Petty'.'

Not too long later we were driving 'Michal Waltrip'

Pretty soon we were driving on 'Hwy David Gilliland' (formerly known as 'Hwy Elliot Sadler.'')

We passed the intersection for 'David Gilliand & Reed Sorenson.'

I got to thinking about all the other roads in the area. I grew up on Kyle Petty near the Kyle Petty & Ricky Rudd intersection.

I worked at a little store at the Kyle Petty & Kurt Busch intersecton.

My b-day is Kyle Busch-Kyle Busch and I'm Chad Blout 1/2.
My nephew is Kyle Busch, and my two neices are turning Scott Wimmer & Martin Truex Jr on their next b-days. My youngest brother just turned Gregg Biffle, and my other brothers are Jamie McMurray & Travis Kvapil, & my sister is Jeff Burton.

The legal drinking age is Ken Schrader and to guy cigarettes you have to be J.J.Yeley.

Okay either you understand it or you don't. There is no in between.

Oh yeah... I can relate to being Nascar-ed. I tend to drive differently around cars that have window stickers with "24" on the back... I find myself wanting to bump draft them ~ LOL!

JUST HAD TO RESPOND TO THIS...
as we are watching SPEED channel for the highlights from today. We missed the race...went to the Langley Cruise-In this afternoon and didn't get back until the race ended (just, though)

I picked up a window decal for DH that reads "I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying" but it sits in the back window of my truck and no one ever sees it because it doesn't show through the cap.

How about the fact that i live about 6 miles from Lowes Moter Speedway in Charlotte... and e have speed week every may in uptwns charlotte... and where my house is is abou t20 miles form most of the people who work for nascar (pit crew and racers) infact my hair stylist who lives in Mooresville NC told me that she sees Kyle everyday.... it is cool to be here in the midst of it....

We have tickets for NASCAR in Texas on November 5th. I have already been on Ebay and stocked up on my JUNIOR gear! I have a ring, watch, bracelet and a decal for my car!

My husband thinks I'm nuts. I hated NASCAR until I married him, and then he took me to ONE race and I'm hooked. He HATES Junior (Mark Martin fan), so I love to annoy him!
