Who has seen " The Departed"? DH and I have seen it TWICE!! I love LOVE this movie- It is by far my favorite along with "DaVinci Code" " Superman Returns" and "Mr and Mrs Smith"- as far as newer releases go, of course. If you liked "Goodfellas", "Casino" or like mob movies in general, you will love this one. It is different in the way it is acted- Leonardo DiCaprios performance deserves an Oscar. His facial expressions say so much. What about you ladies- seen it yet? I am a HUGE movie buff and I have seen just about every movie lately- I have seen "The Prestige", "The Black Dahlia", "Employee of the Month", "Pirates 2","Click", "X men The final stand","The Covenent", "Talledega Nights", " Cars" and quite a few more- Now I am NOT saying all these movies were great, but everyone will have their own likes and dislikes. Anyone have any recent favorites? :D

I dont usually go to the movie theater. We wait for the movie to come on Netflicks or Starz. My husband has been out of town, so I've been catching up on some movies I know he wouldnt be interested in. Watched Memoirs of a Geisha. Interesting but a bit boring. I don't usually like chick flicks, but watched Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon...loved it!

The Departed was wonderful--shocking, vulgar and utterly gross at times which I usually try to avoid--but in this type of film, it is necessary to plot / genre. Leo is truely a great actor, and that made the ending very hard for me to take. I also love Jack Nicholson and he plays his part to the very best. It was just a great cast, great story and a very disturbing look at the dark side. My heart was beating out of my chest at the end.
 MOST OF THE NEW RELEASES HERE IN AUSTRALIA COME OUT ALOT LATER UNFORUNATELY. HOWEVER MY FAVOURITES ARE STILL ANY JACK NICHOLSON MOVIE ANYTHING WITH HARRISON FORD OR ADAM SANDLER. THE LAST ONE I DID SEE WITH MY MOVIE FRIEND WAS SAW2 DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL! UNFORTUNATLEY, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER AFTER THE FIRST SAW1 WHAT THE SECOND ONE WAS GOING TO BE LIKE BUT MY FRIEND ENJOYED THE FIRST ONE SAYING IT WAS A GOOD PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER! AFTER THE SECOND MOVIE i NEEDED A FEW CUPS OF COFFEE BEFORE i COULD DRIVE HOME!! I SAID NEXT TIME WE WILL STICK TO COMEDYS! I DONT THINK MY STRESS LEVELS CAN TAKE ALL THE EXCITEMENT.

Speaking of the Saw movies- I just saw (haha) Saw 3- If you liked the first 2 you will love this one- I was surprised with the ending- never saw that coming! If, like Judy, you didn't enjoy the others, this one will bore you too. I personally liked all 3 and this one left me wondering how on earth will they make another? My girlfriend went with me to see Saw 3 and never saw the first 2 and REALLY liked this one- she was scared- good scared, though. This weekend does not hold anything intersting to me, so maybe a movieless weekend- Boohoo!!

My hubby wants to see it. I'm just not a "movie person". I did see "Invincible" w/ him. I thought it was great.
