I chose my Mother in law as my inspiration, she inspires me everyday to be a better person than i am!

dear mom,
i want you to know that you are an inspiration to me! over the years that i have been married to your son, i have watched the way you love your children and help them to be better men. you have always treated me as one of your own and that means so much to me! no matter what it is that i need, you have ALWAYS been there for me and i appreciate that with all my heart, thank you! i have always looked up to you for the honest and heartfelt way you live your life.the way you will help anyone in need out. the way you always put all of before your own needs, at times going without because one of the family needs something.i especially admire the way you took your 2 great grandkids in and adopted them because their mother chose drugs over them! at the age of 72 taking in a 6 year old and a 14 year old i think is pretty inspirational in itself! So thank you for being my mom, my bestfriend and for being my inspiration!
Love,
darla :daisy:

I agree! It's great that you look up to and admire your MIL. If you have a good relationship with your MIL, treasure it.

Thanks for sharing your letter! I hope she responds to it. :)

Just read your letter and am drying my eyes now. I hadn't read about this challenge, but your letter inspires me to want to do it too. Letting those we love know just what they mean to us is worth more than anything money can buy. Some people go their whole lives and never say what is in their hearts to say. This challenge could probably be met over and over in our lives.
Thank you for sharing. Sofina

Sounds like you and your MIL are great friends and have a special time. I too had a wonderful MIL who we lost to breast cancer 2 years ago and a year before she died I made her a quilt and on the label I wrote how special she was to me. Some of us are very lucky to have good MIL, I wish everyone was as lucky.

You are truly blessed to have such a sweet mother in law. It's so nice to hear that they aren't all like the "stereotype"ones we dread, who "wage war" because they don't think anyone is really good enough for their sons.....who are "perfect" in every way! :D
