I'm in a women's bible study that meets every week. I love this group. We study the bible together (we are studying Mark right now) and share prayer requests, praying together each week.

How about you? Do you enjoy being a part of a women's bible study?

I enjoy being in a ladies bible study, I am not in one at this time. Most of the ones I have been involved in were bible studies by Beth Moore. I have never been part of one that just studied the bible, by taking it apart one verse at a time, maybe that can be my next challenge. Carol :jumpbun:

I am in a "moms of young kids" Bible study at our church. We started this just under a year ago and it has been a real blessing. We have done several Bible-based study books (5 Love Languages, one geared directly to moms with young kids, one on friendship), and are just getting ready to start another-----"Walk This Way" by Tim Woodroof. We also spend time each week sharing prayer requests and praying together. Through some recent trials that some of us have gone through, or are currently going through, we have definitely been brought closer together and have really found this group to be a wonderful support network.

The church I was going to disbanded and some of the members started a new church..With that being said I am going Sunday and my friend is leading the bible study class..
She said that its going to be the start of " The Purpose Driven Life" study..
I know that alot of church groups may have already done this but I am excited because I was not involved in a church when TPDL was new and have never got to participate in a study...I think that this is going to be great...
KATHY- sounds like you have a real blessing in your group..Sounds like a great time of fellowship...

Unfortunately I'm not in a Bible study right now. My husband and I were in a great Bible study together and enjoyed the fellowship with other couples and our spiritual time together. I enjoy Bible study and need to find another one soon!

I'm in a Bible study with other high schoolers from my church. There's usually about 7-8 of us each week, along with our youth pastor and her husband. Right now we are studying the Old Testament prophets. The guys really like to over-discuss "metaphorical locusts" because they find them entertaining.

I am in a women's Bible Study at our church. We meet on Thurs mornings. This year we are going through what our pastor's wife has titled "Relevent Words for the Whys".
She has put the study together to answer questions she as received from women on the Bible. Right now we have just started a section on the role of women. I think it is going to be great. We started with some basic foundational questions and will go on to talk about Spiritual warfare and other very interesting topics before we end at the close of the school year.
I have been involved in women's bible studies for about 20 yrs now. I would highly recommmend it.
We all need to know the Word, but I can't begin to tell you how my life has been enriched by studying it together with other women. We pray for one another and the insights shared are just so good. Anyone can study at home alone, but you are missing out. ;)

Blessings, Sofina

I am not currently in a women's Bible Study and do miss it. May have to start one.

I am in a Bible Study at my church which talks about the church and rural ministry and how we are to teach the Word of God.

I made a suggestion to get one started at our church among the SAHM moms. We bought books based on Joshua's life. They had the first meeting last week, and the second is tomorrow. But unfortunately, I have not been able to attend yet. I am soooo sad about it. I can't wait until next week now so that I can go and participate.

Hi,
Yes I am in a weekly Bible Study and have been for about ten years...At the one I am in now, it is mainly led by our Pastor but we take turns in leading it..It gives people a chance to step out of their comfort zone with a friendly caring small group.. A step in growing!!!... We are working on "Peter Learning to be like Jesus". I lead a small ladies group for a year and it was a learning experience for me..

I am in a Bible study right now, however, it's co-ed and my Pastor teaches it. I love it. We are taking each verse of the Bible and breaking it down. We are currently in the book of Matthew.

I am leading a group of ladies through the Purpose Driven Life. We are doing one day a week, so we can really focus on it.
I've also challenged them to learn a new verse each week! I am amazed that they are doing so well!
It is so nice to be in a Bible study. I miss it when we don't do it. It's a great time to get to know each other and fellowship.

I would love to be in a small group study on a different day of the week. Right now I am a co-facilitator/teacher for our adult Sunday School.

This is my first post! My husband and I belong to a Bible study small group for couples. We have done many "topical" 'studies, and some books of the Bible studies, but have recently been looking for something to shake us up and bring renewed interest to our study and meeting time. So, we are waiting for a new package to arrive that we will be diving into in a week or two! Having other Christians to study and fellowship with is priceless! We study every other week and do a fellowship pot-luck every other week...and it is such fun! :D

I am currently not in a Bible study. I am though getting ready to join a "Mom's In Touch" group, which meets once a week. I do plan on starting up a Bible study during the next semester that they offer it at church.

I have done Beth Moore studies and LOVE Elizabeth George. :D

I am in a Bible study group. We are studying Old Testament, which is very enlightening. The Prophets, Elisha, and Elijah are very compelling and the history of the region during their time is very interesting to correlate with the New Testament and Gospels, as well as modern day events.

I'm part of a praying mother's group. We meet 2x a month at this lovely lady's house. Right now we are going through the book, Calm My Anxious Heart, by Linda Dillow. I highly recommend it. It puts your thought life in a new perspective (God's). :)

Hi,

I am in a bible study at my church. We meet every Wed. in the morning from 9:30- 11:30. We take turns bringing a snack, saying opening and closing prayer, do prayer requests and have bible study with a guide book and bible. We are getting ready to start up again next week, as we were off for the summer. We are going to study parables for the next couple of weeks. We have about 20 members, but it averages about 10-15 who go every week.

I have really enjoyed the group and feel I have grown in my faith by being in this bible study.
