My DH is so thoughful and sweet. He definately over bought for me this Christmas.

He spent so much money that our credit card is choking... Ok, I'm choking. I'm trying to figure out how to return a couple high dollar items without hurting his feelings.

This man bought me the same gold hoop earrings 3 years in a row !!!!!!!!!! He knows what I like, but I don't need 3 pair. (Gotta love him). :p

Anyone else have returns to make this year?

I had to return one of dh's gifts, but not a one of mine. :D While he liked the leather jacket I bought his reasoning was that he rarely wears a jacket and would rather wear his crappy one. ;) I returned the jacket the day after christmas. I was at the store 20 minutes after they opened and was in and out in 5 minutes.

My sister who lives in Maryland visits our Mom early in December and does her Christmas shopping for my DH and me at the same time. My DH's jeans fit him great but my blouse was a little to snug in the chest area. We stopped at the store on the way out of town and I was in and out in no time. Unfortunately they gave me a store credit in the form of a gift card and I will have to travel to the next county to use it. It's not all that bad as it is on the way to my MIL condo. I am just not sure when we will be going up to see her.

I have been trying to return a perfume that I recieved but I don't know where it came from. I don't want to ask the person who gave it to me because I don't want to hurt her feelings. I'm very funny about perfume and I don't care for this particular one. It is a very old fragrance and not my style. I thought I'd just swap it out for one I prefer however the few places that I tried didn't sell it so now I'm still searching. It has a bar code on the bottom but no actual store price tag and is still in the plastic wrap. The few stores I tried scanned it anyway for me and got no reading. I tried Walmart and Kohls to no avail because I thought they be easiest for returns. They didn't even carry it. I did see that JCPenney carries this brand but have not tried to return it here yet. Do you think they will exchange it w/out a receipt?

As long as it is in the original wrapping and the bar code is one that belongs to JcPenney, they probably will. I have found JcPenney to be pretty pretty good about returns and exchanges. All you can do is try.

I wish I could return things my MIL gives my daughter. She feels size goes with age. Her only colors she ever buys her are lime green and pink clothes. She always buys it on sale and out of season, but there are usually parts missing to a set so she puts something together. That usually doesn't match. The one year I tried to return something she told me the wrong store and when I went to the right store they told me the item had been discounted so many times it wouldn't be worth giving any money back.

Zoneey: That is such a bummer.

I have a SIL that is very sweet, but she gives me gifts that are so far off the chart... Color, size, style. I swear she has a time mechine and travels back to the early eighties to by my gifts. Anyways.. like you it's not worth my time to try to return it.

Hubby ordered a ring for me for Christmas on his jewelry store credit card but we got the bill before we picked up the ring and I told him to forget it! I'd rather have the money in our pockets than the ring. The thought was lovely though.

I had to return (have to... I'm a procrastinator) a DVD I bought him that we already had and I didn't realize... it was on sale and I was shopping furiously!
