View Full Version : Hair color
For those who like to color your hair or use to!
what is your original hair color:
what color is your hair now:
what's the wildest color your hair was:
My original hair color is (I think) a chestnut brown. My current hair color a light brown with blonde and red highlights. Not sure if it's really wild, but the 'funnest' hair color I had was a light brown/blonde with some pink highlights. That's when I worked for BedHead and could get away with it!

Ok... I'll confess...
My original hair color: dark honey blonde
what color is your hair now: sort of a dark honey blonde with red (helped along by Aveda)
what's the wildest color your hair was: blue... it was spray in hair color and it was my first date with the cool guy in art school that I ended up marrying. I looked COOL! That was 24 years ago and we just had our 22nd wedding anniversary.

My original color was dark brown.
My color now is light blond with bleach blond highlights and dark blond low lights.
No crazy colors here. Though, once I had hair down to the middle of my back and cut it chin length, that was a shocker for everyone who knew me.

Wow...
Original hair color: Golden to Light Brown
Current: Same
Wildest: Almost completely bleach blonde
By the way... Blondes don't have more fun..or does that just apply to natural blondes?

I had a lot of fun as a blonde, got more attention as a red head and get less noticed with my brown. :sillycat:
Btw, who is that weird looking guy in your photo???

Mine is light brown now, but I think it is gray under the color. I started out as dark brown. I have never colored it anything wild.

I am now very grey, but I used to have dark brown hair.
Currently it is a medium to dark brown with bronze and gold highlights. It is the favorite I have ever had!
The wildest was not all that wild - brown with burgundy tones. When I was outside it was too unnatural looking.
I am very, very bad about my hair. I have a standing appointment every five weeks with my hairdresser. I started out doing it myself, but it is so much nicer looking and in such great shape with Chelly handling it for me. When I got divorced and was so broke, I still found money for this. It was my one indulgence. My husband says he doesn't care what I do with my hair as long as I am happy. What a guy!
My original color is dark brown.
I only color my hair because the greys have kicked in & I use Dark Auburn from Loreal Preference wich blends perfectly & adds subtle highlights.

Hi--
Original hair color: medium brown
Current hair color: Medium Ash blonde with lighter blonde highlights
Weirdest color: Onec eI tried to dye my hair light ash brown and got this bright idea of putting a plastic bag over my hair while the coloring was on. Don't ever do that unless you want BLACK hair. I looked so Goth--not a good look for me!!!

Original: Dark Brown, almost black (but greying in the front, which is why I have changed - I find that dark dye ages me and the grey won't hold it for more than a few days)
Now: Strawberry Blonde, leaning toward light auburn as it grows
Wildest: Light Blonde (and I want it back...blends better when the roots start coming in)
Yes, I find that blondes have lots more fun. It brightens me up a LOT....and I think that shows.

Med/Dk brown w/ blonde highlights...I always figured that if I kept it frosted or highlighted then the gray would not be effident for a few extra years.

Original color is dark brown.
Color now is dark brown (thanks to Revlon 10 min. hair color - works quickly and lasts!)
Wildest color was a hideous orange - I didn't know Sun-In wouldn't make brown hair blonde. Hey I was only 14 and have thankfully learned a lot since then!

I have very fair skin with light freckles and blue eyes.
My original hair color: fine, dirty/mousey blonde (now with wirey grey devils)
My current hair color: medium golden blonde with light golden blonde highlights and dark copper-blonde lowlights
My wildest hair color: medium red
Does anyone know what cool brown shades are? I've heard that cool complexions are better off using cool shades of brown? Is it the ash tones?

Original, original baby color: Flame Red!

Now: Bleached Blonde - I love it!
Wildest: Rainbow streaks for Pride Celebrations one year. (I do green streaks annually for St. Patrick's Day!)

Original: dishwater blonde (hated it!)
Now: light blonde and love it!
Wildest: not really wild but alot different was when I let my hairdresser try something different and he ended up making my light blonde into something really that reminded me of almost white. lol It didn't look bad but took some getting use to.
Speaking of my hairdresser....going to be in a hair show on the 27th as a hair model for him. He asked me to do it as a favor to him. I don't know what he is going to do other than he mentioned a more up to date trendy cut (whatever that means) and a darker haircolor for me. Hmm...should I be scared?! lol

Oh, go for it girl! It sounds exciting.
And it's only hair, not plastic surgery, so no matter how bad it is, it will grow out.

oh boy. i don't even know what my natural color is! a very dark blonde, i suppose. right now my hair has extreme blonde highlights and dark low lights.. you know blonde on top, dark underneath? i bleached my hair like pamela anderson for a while, which i loved, but it was too much maintenance! the wildest was completely blonde on top, and underneath it was red, like BRIGHT red. it looked cool when I pulled it up. i have a great colorist and i just let him do whatever he wants with my hair. he has never failed me in all the years i have been going to him.

Natural: Dark Brown, almost black
Now: Medium Brown with red highlights.
I have had a ton of colors...LOL!
I prefer the bleached blonde but so many people told me I looked sick with that color so I went back dark!
