Here is the good news,I did give birth Tuesday night instead of on my due date.I gave birth to a healthy boy,Ryan Marcus weighing 10 lbs. 5 ozs. and girl Jessica Rae 10 lbs. 4 ozs.We did come home yesterday morning and are doing just fine.I am learning becoming a first time mom,got 4 hours of sleep last night. My husband did cut the cords although he was nervous at first and encouraged me while holding my hand.My parents are happy becoming grandparents and they did wear shirts saying a proud grandpa and grandma.I know that my parents will be spoiling them.My mom did say this to me:Welcome to motherhood.Husband is helping out checking on our new son and daughter.

Congrats! :celebrate:
That's still pretty big babies, especially for twins.
Now, get some rest while you can. You're gonna be busy for awhile. :)

8 lb twins! Wow! Most of the women I know having babies lately haven't tipped 7.

You are very blessed to have two precious angels from God.

Wow, still very big babies. Odd that a hospital misweighed babies. And amazing you went to full term with them. Most twins are born premature and much smaller than 8 pounds. OMG, those are big babies!

And wow...4 hours of sleep is great! Most babies do not sleep even 4 hours especially twins!

Post photos when you can! We would love to see their precious faces. :D

Just wondering how the babies are doing and when we'll get to see some pictures. My niece has twin girls who recently turned 5 years old and they're so much fun. I know right now they're a lot of work, but when they are old enough to amuse themselves and each other it'll be much easier for you.

Like everybody has said, those are still BIG BABIES!!! :)

And don't worry about the "spoiling." I've read that a child can't be spoiled until s/he is older than two, the baby can't make the connection that s/he's getting anything more than s/he deserves.

All the best,
Marian

Congratulation!!! OH MY GOSH!!! You carried 17 pounds of Babies? How long were you on bed rest?

My Daughter has twin boys, 20 months old. She was huge and her babies only totaled 10.4 pounds.

Twins are wonderful!!! Enjoy!

How are the twins doing? I'm sure you're taking tons of pictures and I keep hoping you'll post a couple. I'd love to see the babies...they must be adorable. Are they sleeping through the night yet? I imagine it must be difficult if one wakes up crying and then the other one wakes up.

Please post an update (and share some pictures). :D

The twins are doing great and growing. My parents are spoiling them already showing their love as their grandparents. My husband is helping out and is a great father. It is dificult when one starts to cry and the other one does the same right away.I do plan on getting my daughter's ears pierced in two monthes.I am getting much better sleep too.I did show them at where I work,I made a visit last week to my work place to see how everything is going without me.Everything is going great there.I do plan on going back to work on March 19th.

OH wow. Have they gained any weight yet? How big are they now? That's amazing you are getting around so quickly. One lady I worked with had her baby the same time as you and she is the most fit person I know. She hasn't made it into the office yet.

Ouch on getting the baby's ear pierced!

Have any photos? We'd love to see them!!

You must have taken a zillion photos by now. How about showing us a couple? I love sharing pictures of my granddaughter (there are a few in my photo gallery here at GGG and literally hundreds in my home page), and I'd love to see a couple of pictures of the babies.

During the first 6 - 8 months they change so fast. It would be nice to show us pictures as they grow. I''m babysitting at my granddaughter's now, but when I get home maybe I'll add a more recent photo of her.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the twins.....

I want to see pictures too, I love babies. My sil had twins and she was humongous, they were both girls. Victoria Jensen weighed 5 lbs 4 oz and Kimber Breeana weighed 4 lbs 5 oz. They do change alot in the first year. They are 9 years old now. We had so much fun with them when they were little, they are still fun.

You must have pictures from before last week when the camera broke. I'd be bursting at the seams if I had twins and I'd be showing their pictures to everyone.

Yes, especially since you managed to get a photo of you at 2 weeks post-partum in that black bikini for your husbands birthday. And money for diamonds, a brand new 2007 Harley...

Surely you have photos of your twins. Its the biggest event of your life. No parents would let this event escape without photos! :bounce:

We would love to see those huge twins born on their due date. Still amazes me the exactness of it all on top of the big size of those babies. I'm amazed the hospital didn't send out a press release!!

;)

Amazing stuff! Just simply amazing.... ;)

WOW! I am sorry but with two new babies and a broken camera, you either borrow one or buy a disposable. This time is too precious not to have pictures.
