Hi this is my first time at this site and i am already seeking advice. I was a middle manager for 10 years until my facility closed 7 years ago. Since then I have been doing consulting work. I am looking to return to a full time position. My problem is my resume and also what type of job I want. In my past position I received resumes and interviewed a lot of applicants and I think that is what has me worried. I am interested in any opinions as to where it would be best for me to start. Is my best choice a job placement agency?? Any and all advice will be gladly accepted.

I, too have spent several years reading resumes and passing on to my HR manager. As you know, honesty is important on the resume and to tailor your resume to each specific job you apply for.

Many of our employees have been brought in through the temp agencies. The agency that we use helps the prospective employee create their resume and how to interview.

Our HR manager also coaches employees how to interview when they leave employment with us. Many times after he interviews prospective applicants he will talk with them on how they should have answered questions.

Good luck to you.
