Anyone use self tanners? I just started using Loreal's Sublime, did my first application this evening. I used it last year and was pleased with it.
After many years of unprotected sun exposure I was starting to see the damage it has done a couple years ago. So I'm doing the sun screens now and wearing a hat when working outside. I've been doing this for the last couple years. But I don't like being pasty white!
I was just wondering if anyone has used any of these products and which ones they like best.

I have been using AVEENO Continuous Radiance. It didn't turn my skin that yucky orange colour!!!

May the best of your past be the worst of your future-
I love that!
Do you remember the first self tanner lotion, QT? I remember using it once when I was a teenager, I was orange for a couple weeks. The stuff we have now is so much better.
I'm a supervisor of a cosmetic dept in a dept store and we're having a big spring makeover event the next couple weekends. I didn't want to look all pasty while doing so many consultations. I've gotten a couple of compliments on how good I look since using the tanner. I haven't mentioned what I did though, just said Thank-You! My secret.

I grabbed that saying from the movie Long Kiss Goodnight with Geena Davis. I loved it then and still love it now.
And, yes, I remember QT. Used it by mistake because the bottle was the same shape and colour as the suntan lotion (both coppertone products). Didn't care for the orange colour.

I sent DH out & asked him to pick up a moisturizer for me....well, love his heart, he returned with Vasoline Intensive Care..Healthy Body Glow. So, i thought I'd give it a try, used it several times now & it is pretty good! No orangey looking color, quite subtle, but good. My skin is not fair, he bought the medium type, is working great! I have also used the Loreal Sublime last year & I like it too. The Body Glow stuff is just a little more subtle........but, it does work & I'll prob. keep using it. Lol, don't think DH knew it was anything other than just "lotion" oh well, he did ok didn't he! lol

I go without foundation b/c the tanner works for that. Then I add blush, shadow, lipstick, and eyeliner

I use fake bake, you can get it at sephora. It is kinda expensive but works really good. It doesnt make you orange and doent streak.

I saw a beauty feature in More magazine that had Jergens natural glow for the Face. Has anyone tried this? It has SPF in it and is a moisturizer. I was going to buy it last night at CVS but thought I would ask opinions first!

I used a Dove self tanner and OMG it was awful. It took about 3 days to show up and when it did I looked green. LOL. I actually laughed at myself a lot. I'll never use anything again. I just don't trust that stuff.

I'm not a big fan of fake tanners, but if I *need* some color, I do the mystic spray tan at the salon.

My 18 YO niece uses it year round. She loves it!!...
Once she gets to the right 'shade' she will do the every other day or every third day usage so she doesn't get too dark.

Oh great! Thanks! I got the Jergens and it is great, especially because it has SPF in it! According to More, "Glow is the new tan" and they also recommend Shiseido daily bronze moisturizing emulsion for face/body. I haven't tried this one, but they say it is very subtle.
Pretty soon there is going to be nothing on my bathroom sink counter except tanners! LOL! I rather do this then be in the sun though, my pale skin can't handle another burn.
