If you have plenty of friends, this isn't a big question. But if you are in a place in your life where you could use new friends, the question might have crossed you mind..."Where can I meet new friends?"
Of course, this matters. You wouldn't go to a bar to meet friends if you don't hang out in bars. Why gather people around you that have little in common with you?
I meet friends at church and work. Some women sign up to volunteer for the purpose of filling their day helping others and meeting new friends. Others sign up for school classes to meet others like them.
Where do you meet your friends?

I have met most of my friends at work. The last woman I met that has become a friend I met through her husband. After we bought "the Money Pit" we needed a plumber and we hired a guy and ended up spending LOTS of time with him. He introduced me to his wife. The first time that we met she told me that I had been described as the girl that had "every kind of plumbing since the turn of the century in her house". We enjoy getting together with this couple and sometimes travel together. I am actually glad that we had bad pipes!

I've met some of my good friends at my paid job and at my volunteer job. I have found it to be really hard to meet good friends that you can trust when you work a long schedule and don't have a lot of time to socialize, also with a strange work schedule, it's hard to get together with your friends when you are off work and they are too. I've also met some of my friends through other people I knew and through church.

I met my best friend and alot of my girlfriends at work( past and present) My friends from when I was younger still keep in touch but we really seem to be spread all over now. My DH has alot of friends which he has had for 30+ years, so I've always made friends with there wives/g'friends, really does make things difficult when they split up.

I am sorry to say that I don't have any friends. I have people in my life that I like and they like me but for the most part they are aquanitences. I had friends in High School and for awhile afterward but then I got married and became too busy with my job and family obligations to maintain the friendship. Of course the same is true of those who were my friends. We also lost touch when we moved to different States.
I don't have a big circle of friends but the few good friends I have I met at work.
