I've been wanting a clothes line since we moved into this house. But since we are renting (from my parents) it's been a slow go. We've been here for 3 years and just 2 weeks ago my father finally brought over the cedar posts. He dug the holes and my brother & I planted the posts. So for the last 2 weeks we've have 4 posts in the ground and nothing else. Last week we were maxed out on the budget and it wasn't until yesturday that we finally got everything we needed to put up the 2x4s and the line. So DH & I got everything out and the cordless drill wasn't charged! Grrr. So we decided to do it today but it's too humid and DH's fibro is kicking his butt so we will try again on Tuesday, my next day off. I think I might be able to do it myself at one point I thought I would have too, but don't want to try b/c then DH would feel bad that he can't get out there to help.
Does anyone else's house operate like this?

Oh yes, I can relate. If it's not one thing it's another. Since I am the one who gets yelled at when the battery in the drill is dead even though I'm not the one who uses it :signlol: I have been very dilligent about keeping one in the charger at all times, even if we have just used it once.
We have a major yard project going on and it's been raining just about every weekend. I was hoping that we could get it done before dh's friend went out of town as he's very helpful with this type of thing, but now it's suppose to clear up this weekend so I am going to have to get out there and help dh. I don't mind, but my body just can't handle the physical labor.
I try to take things one day at a time. The projects will eventually get done. Sometimes it just takes longer than anticipated.

We finally got it done later in the week after the battery was charged and the weather cooled off.
Last Thursday, I hung up all the laundry (expect undies, the pervert neighbors are NOT going to be seeing them!). It was so nice to have laundry that smells like outside.
Next long weekend I'm doing all the bedding, even the stuff I've put away.
Sigh ... there's nothing better than that smell!

YAY! I am so happy that you got it done! I can relate, I rent and everything takes longer! I always want to be like, I'll just do it myself because I don't want to wait!! :)
