I have been using Philosophy's skin care and I love it!!! They have a moisturizer called "Hope In a Jar" and it has really helped my fine lines and my skin is so soft. I also use their microdelivery peel and after I am done my skin feels like silk.
What kind of skin care do you use and are you loving it as much as I love Philosophy?

I've used so many different brands over the years, the one I'm using now really seems to agree with my skin, it is called "renew" and I get it friom the health food store, it contains rosehip oil and a bargain at only $20 a tub. I use Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser because it removes everything ( even waterproof mascara) and I can rub it into my eyes and get no irritation from it.
I've heard Philosophy is great! I haven't tried it yet. I use Dermalogica's powder scrub. I love that stuff. It comes out in a powder and you add some water to do. I also use Cliniques Dramatically Different Gel. I love it in a gel. It's so cool and refreshing and dries quick! I also use Phisoderm for my acne prone skin.

I've used so many skincare products over the years. Right now I'm using Alpha Hydrox cleanser and AHA cream. It's good at sloughing off the old skin cells and leaving a nice glow.
My biggest mainstay in skincare, however, is a good sunscreen. My favorite is one I get from my dermatologist...it's made by "Skinceuticals", and protects for UVA and UVB rays and doesn't feel oily or heavy. I'm a firm believer in no matter what skincare regimen you use...if the skin is not protected from sun damage...it's all for naught.
/note: I've had two skin cancers removed from my face...which is why I'm passionate about suncreen!

Right now, I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel and Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer a couple times a week at night. I also switch around every once in awhile and use Yyes Rocher products that are day moisturizers with sunscreen added in. They are good for me to use b/c I have sensitive skin and will become irritated quite easily.
I have also been interested in the Philosophy skin care line. It seems like several people I know use it and love it, also have read some good comments about it on this site.
Right now, I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel...
Oooooooooooooh! I LOVE that stuff!! It feels so great on and it is so light and dries quickly and leaves my skin so smooth. I just got one of my best friends to buy it. It's addicting!
I'm currently using Avon's True Porefection line which includes a clay cleanser, a toner & a skin clearing lotion. :cheerlead

I mostly use Avon because I like the variety and price, but I love to get those special department store specials where you spend a certain amount of money then get a free beauty kit. Often it's Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc., which I usually don't like spending money on, though I've noticed the older I get the more willing I am to spend "just a little more".

Avon products here. I like the anew products and while some of them are a little pricey they are well worth the money.

For many years I tried lots and lots of ever-more-expensive creams and unctions and I loved the smells and textures of them so I did not mind paying the high price... although I knew that many of them could not possibly do what they claimed... Then, I just started to get overwhelmed with it all, keeping up with the new cream, pushy sales people, and my dry skin just wasn't getting better anymore.
Then I found something I just love! It is called Paula's Choice. This lady Paula is a consumer watchdog in the cosmetics industry and she got so fed up with the fact that there so few alternatives as far as basic products avaialable - she created her own. Some bashed her for it, others embraced it. After reading her product review books and agreeing with a lot of her reviews, I decided to give her stuff a try.
That was two years ago and I am still thrilled with it. I don't miss "cream shopping" one bit! And, I like spendy make-up so now I don't feel so guilty getting it since PC is very reasonably priced. If I had a dollar for everyone who has asked me what I use on my face because they think my skin looks great... *sigh*! :)

I currently use Oil of Olay regenerist line and I like it so far...
I use this too and I LOVE it! I have very oily skin, but under my eyes it can get dry. I also am prone to breakouts. This stuff makes my skin feel so smooth and seems to be helping not only with the fine lines, but the hyperpigmentation I have too!
I use Mary Kay. Seems to be working.
I love dermalogica works for me, I also like oil of olay and Arbonne. love NJ

I've used Oil of Olay products for years. I stopped using them and started using something else a few months ago. My skin has begun breaking out, so I'm going back to Oil of Olay.
What helps with occasional outbreaks when you're 49?

I'm a Philosophy girl, myself. My sister tuned me into it a few years ago, and it's all I use. I might have to check out that Paula's Choice if it's cheaper, though. I feel so guilty spending so much money on Philosophy sometimes. I've paged through Paula's book about Hair-care a long time ago, and found it very helpful for hair, so she seems very credible.

I use a combination of Mary Kay and BeautiControl products. Both are great. I'm 58 and will say this to those of you who are younger. There are lots of products out there. Just decide which are best for you, establish a routine, and stick to it. Growing up, I had a great-aunt, who was in her 80's and had the most beautiful skin. I still remember how she had her cleansing and moisturizing routine every evening.
I use Olay and Aveeno every day. The make-up, when I use it, is Almay.

Hi everyone,
What a great thread. Just to let you know, it is 2.45am here and I am glued to CNN waiting for Barak Obama. !!!
I was just thinking as I read through the posts, I wish we has taken more care years ago. I guess we did not concern ourselves to much then about healthy stuff.
I guess the one thing I have always done is to clense and mostiurise. I maybe wear make-uo twice a year. Like most of you, I have tried various cremes over the years. I have also watched documentaries on the scam of having the most expensive creme. There is now scientific evidence that would say that the price of the creme is not relevant. I am now convinced that nothing can halt the signs of aging.
I have to say that of late, I have started to use a tinted mostiureser (Estee Every Day Plus). It is quite light.
A lot of the threads mentioned a range called Philosophy. It sounds good. Could someone send me their website.
This is a wonderful way to exchange information and I really love this site.
Are their any more people from the UK?
I need to get back to CNN now as it is almost time for the speech. I have never seen anything like the people at the stadium!! It is truly incrediable.
Lots of love to you all.

I have used Noxema for cleansing since I was a teenager. It is tried and true for me. Last year I spent some big bucks on a major line of face products. At first I thought it was doing something and really liked it, than I started having some minor breakouts. I do have sensitive skin so have to be very careful what I use.
I went back to my Noxema for cleansing, but do think I need a moisturizer for my face. I've been trying out a sample I got when I bought some Elizabeth Arden makeup. So far, so good.
I have also tried Oil of Olay products in the past and had problems with breakouts.
I agree that the price is not relevant. It's what works for you.

Hi all,
I started using Lancome products when I was about 19, including the anti-wrinkle creams geared for early defense. I stuck with this over the years, especially the Bienfait Total moisturizer, but have really gotten away from wearing make-up. I dabbled in Chanel products for about a year when I was in my 30's, but this was WAY too pricey to keep up. Then I read somewhere that L'Oreal products are made by the same folks that make Lancome, so I use a great deal of their products for cleansing and moisturizing.
Like Sheila mentioned above, on the occasion now that I do want to wear just some sheer base coverage, I broke down and bought a tinted moisturizer by Lancome a few months ago. I really do love Lancome and L'Oreal products, though like everyone else has said, I've heard wonderful things about Philosophy products. I see them often when I browse the beauty section of Amazon.com, and may just give it a try! Thanks so much for all of the info :)
Sincerely, Trish

I love Philosophy's skin care line, but it is just too pricey for me. I've had to go with stuff I can get at Walmart. The facial cleanser I am using now is by Aquafina (yes, the water company), I really like it, but they stopped making it. :( I was lucky enough to hit Walmart when it was all clearanced out for $1.50, so I bought all that they had, which was like 7 bottles. When I run out of that I am not sure what I will do.
For a moisturizer I am pretty happy with Clean & Clear's Day Soft Oil-Free Moisturizer.
My problem is that I have oily skin and Rosacea, so my face is never even close to good looking. Anyone have any suggestions for Rosacea treatment?
