im battling addiction. im working a 12-step program and its helping me tremendously... to find out why i drank and drugged in the first place. i was wondering - though - does anyone have any good website for attending this type of meeting "online"? ;) i cant always make a meeting everyday, like i need to... just wondered if chat groups, or chat programs you thought were helpful online.... thanks!! :)

I am so proud of you! I wish you all the luck and prayers in the world! You can do this!! My father was an alcoholic I know how hard it was on him to controll his addiction. I will keep you in my thoughts!

:D I am a 12 stepper myself, Aug 24, 2002 is my birthday. My life is better than I could imagine at the time I decided to become sober. Work the steps, be rigourously honest and "you will be amazed..."
I have a Daily Thought sent to me via email and they have info regarding online meetings. To subsribe type "Subscribe" in the Subject Box and send email to: dailythought@verizon.net.
My love, prayers and thoughts are with you.

Do they have a 12 step for sugar addiction?

I don't really think there's really a sugar support program:) but the fact is you can use the 12 step program for any problem you are having. :D

Welcome to the world of recovering addicts. I will have 14 yrs clean in June and I don't tell you this to brag . I tell you this to show you that recovery does work if you work it.
Try looking in the chat rooms under " addiction " or Addicts
or try an engine search of your 12 step program of choice.

I've been part of a few different online 12-step groups over the years. If you do a Google search on "online AA" you'll get some great resources.
There are different sorts of groups -- closed, open, women-only.... Hope you find one you're comfortable with.
