View Full Version : Feet pumice?

When I had my pedicure the technician soaked my feet a long time in hot sudsy water and then sanded my heels with some sort of hard sponge/pumice.
I've looked high and low for this gadget but can't seem to figure out what it really was.
It had a handle and had a head like a hairbrush. But of course it was flat with pumice/sandpaper on one side.
Where can I find one of these things? My heels need it again!

Kathy,
I use one I found with the Dr Scholls products. They work so well. I couldn't live without it. Well, not wear sandals with out it. ;)

Any good bath and body store should have one, it is an absolute must here in Louisiana since it stays so warm and I tend to wear sandels all year long. Love!

I get mine from the Dr Scholls products at Wal Mart. My heels get so dry and cracked without using the pumice (or even a grater like gadget ), then I use a good lotion. Without it , my heels will crack and bleed & that's not any fun at all :(

You can get one at Target or WalMart not very expensive at all!! Avon has these socks that have gel in them...feel very good, and they help with cracked heels!! I will try and find the actual name of them for ya!

Any beauty supply store should have these products. They are great. I give my husband a pedicure monthly, and these little items are indispensable for dry heels.

Avon has some great products for helping to get rid of rough heels. Their "Foot Works" line of products are wonderful! I love the Double Action Sloughing Cream, the Double Action Intensive Callus Cream, and the Double Action Deep Moisturizing Cream. I believe they also sell the pumice tool that Kathy described.

I found this flat paddle looking thing with sandpaper on both sides. It works real well. I bought this at Target. I do like it better than pumice stone or any other thing I have used.
It works so well on those dry heels and yet doesn't damage my skin.

I live in Arizona and dry, rough, unsightly heels can be a problem here where sandals are worn a lot.
I've purchased many special creams, but I have found nothing works better than a couple of nights sleep using VASELINE on my heels and wearing socks to bed. My heels went from horrific to smooth as a baby's b*tt in no time!
Try it - you'll be amazed and delighted. :D
