I have over the past 15 years attended 3 churches of various denominations. I grew up United Methodist and have now come full circle to my current home at the First United Methodist Church. In my soul searching journey, I attended a Lutheran and a Christian Church. Both had wonderful people, great fellowship, and good messages, but something was missing. My beliefs from childhood had somehow gotten lost in the shuffle in search of the perfect church, the perfect youth group and the perfect Sunday School for my children. We followed others, went with friends, and attended the "popular" churches. All to find out that I still was in need spiritually of being fulfilled.
After many soul searching hours, I attended a church, loved the people, enjoyed the music and was very much touched by the sermon. (Which had not happened in years anywhere else!) Maybe this was just God saying, "Welcome Home!!" In any case, I have been spiritually driven to help in many aspects of the church and feel that I am a happier person now than I have been in years and I have God and the church to thank for all of it!!
