There's the story of my life!! Recently through much cleaning...(hahaha!) I discovered some old baby quilt blocks that I had started cross stitching eons ago! I have slowly integrated them back into my "nightly" routine....amongst my knitting, of course!
I have found a lady that will machine quilt the blocks together for me and I am determined to get my act together and take them to her. (I could trip to Australia and have my "Aussie Friend" put them togther for me.....hmmmmm) I also have two baby knitted afghans at present that I am working on. Need more hours in the day!!
Happy Hobbying to all!!

Last year I started redoing my basement. So far I have done half of it and then just got bored with it and haven't touched it since. It's not like I have a job to go to during the day so thats not stopping me from finishing.
I guess I really need to get down there and scrape that ceiling and get the new paint up on the walls. Since it is cooling off here now I can get my act together and just do it!!!!!!!!

I admit to being one who has unfinished projects too. There are a lot of reasons (excuses?) why. :D
I have found that I do much better if I have a deadline. For example, I have a Halloween costume to sew so obviously it has to be done by Halloween. I have a baby afghan to finish by the end of this month. I know that will get done, too.
Like Cats3, I have a basement that needs to be cleaned. That has been an off and on project--mostly off--for the last five years! Life would be much easier for me if it was organized the way I want it but it's hard for me to commit to getting it done.
One of the hardest things for me is to take a big project and break it down into manageable pieces. I get stuck too much into the "all or nothing" rut--either I can get it done in one day or I don't do it at all--and that's just not realistic. I am making improvements in that area, though.
I like the idea of working on projects as part of a nightly routine. At least progress is made that way! If I took even ten minutes a day to work on the basement eventually it would get done, right? ;)

Um...well, naturally anyone who knows me knows that I have a couple of knitting projects going. A scarf, a prayer shawl, a baby afghan, and a dishcloth at present. (I have another scarf that I abandoned because I just don't like working with the yarn.)
I worked on two of them today. Must...finish...soon.

I thought I was the Queen of Unfinished Projects. In fact, my DD was telling my niece about how she was going through my stash of wool and found.....
1) an unfinished sweater 2) that had all the sections knit, ends tucked and blocked 3) needed to be sewn together 4) then the button bands completed (I had cheated on the collar) but the kicker was 5) it was in a paper bag that was older than the child.
The only excuse I can provide, right at this minute, is that most of my stuff is still in a 10x15 foot storage locker and I can't readily get to it so I have been buying wool for new projects....and actually getting them finished.
But, while I type this, I should actually be putting the final hem on the nightie that I sewed for my MIL for Christmas.
Well, I just went back to my blog dated 2/26/06
I finished knitting the socks, sewed the boxers for DH, haven't done any scrapbooking to talk about BUT I am always cooking and trying out recipes and fine tuning some of my cookbook. In the meantime, I have started and actually started and completed several other projects...and moved across the country.
I will try to get some stuff finished and maybe actually take some pictures?

Does cleaning up my home office count as a project? If so, I've got another one to add to my list. ;)
