I've completed the closet challenge! :woohoo: I'm supposed to share a picture. That's challenging for me, but I think I might have figured it out. The picture is in my member gallery and hopefully also in this link:

All in all this was a good project for me. I got rid of a lot things and so did my husband, though not as willingly as me. ;) There are several bags of clothing to donate and several more bags of junk which were donated to the trash can. Other items were put in their proper places.

I think our closet is going to stay neat now that it has been organized. It's much easier to find what we need and it's nice to actually be able to walk in the walk-in closet!

have no idea where it is located but its not showoing up in your member gallery and it looks like I have some tweaking to do. I'm guessing you uploaded it? Try it again...?

I tried again. I hope it will work this time! Yes, I uploaded it. I think I forgot to make the final click to submit the photo. So excited..... :bliss:

it worked! What did you do the first time? And what did you do the second time? I'd like to make sure this is easy...(easier?) and the first time your thumbnail was uploaded but it didn't show up in your member gallery nor in my photos needing approval spot. It was curious and I'd like to figure out what setting I might have missed.

BTW, awesome closet! I'm so impressed!

I really think this was my error. When I tried again, I noticed a step I didn't remember seeing the first time. After I clicked, I saw that there was an image pending box in my gallery--something I didn't see the first time.

I wouldn't be alarmed about this as uploading photos is not my specialty, nor is patience if I'm anxious about completing something. ;)

Kathy, I just uploaded another picture. It was definitely user error on my part. It couldn't be any simpler. Anyone who takes the time to slow down and read the directions/follows the process can do it. Obviously I didn't fit that category on my first attempt.

I grabbed the thumbnail url and completely missed seeing the button to click to process the photo which would put it in for you to review.

Sorry for the trouble!

Thank you, and Michelle, too! for the nice closet compliments!

To eliminate closet clutter, the most commonly heard advice is if you haven't worn it in a year get rid of it. I tend to keep pieces I really love for years anyways & I always have a problem with closet space. I usually put spring/summer clothes away in a large suitcase in the fall/winter season & in spring I put away all winter/fall clothes.

I've been sorting & cleaning out my closet all week. I have a bag to donate to the salvation army, few items were thrown away, a few others I gave to my sister in law & I now have what I wear & "what I absolutely can't part with"...not that much! I won't be submitting any photos of my remodeled closet because I don't have a digital camera & don't know how else it can be done! My closet doesn't look "perfect" & is still somewhat crowded because I share it with my husband, but it's a lot more accessible & organized. At least I can see what I have & get to it without a struggle. For shoes I keep ones that I don't wear in their boxes on the top shelf of my closet, & for the ones I wear more often on a shelf on the bottom of closet. I purchased "metal hangers" as a way of minimizing bulk...plastic hangers take up a lot of space. I also purchased those special hangers where you can hang 4 pairs of pants or skirts in a row & take up space as one hanger...they're great & a special hanger for hanging belts. I also bought one of those fabric organizers that are attatched by velcro to the closet rod & have shelves for storing items. That's it, I did the best I could under the "tight circumstances. My spring/summer clothes are in a suitcase & after winter is over I'll make my usual switch from closet to suitcase for my winter/fall clothes. :D

I would do mine, but I feel defeated before I've even started. lol. My Bedroom is not big & the built-in wardrobe that I do have, is so small, it's ridiculous. But then again, perhaps that's the whole point
Duh! :o
