Anyone have Lupus or know someone who does?

Hi:
I am new here and I have Lupus. It has effected my brain and the nerves in most of my body.

I just wanted to know if anyone else deals with the sx that come with this crazy disease.

I would love to be a support to anyone who is having Lupus issues,,,,,,,it is so important to have a support system.

My sister has Lupus so I have learned a lot about it through her. Please feel free to come to me if you need some support. I have gotten pretty good at it. HUGS!!!

I know that is is hard for family of those who have these kind of illnesses....so I think it is really Wonderful that you are such a support to your sister.....I wish I had that kind of support.

I know that my sister does go somewhere online for support. I am not sure where it is that she goes though. It is a very difficult thing to go through and I am glad that you have found some support for you. Hugs

My mom has Lupus. She was diagnosed about 7 years ago. And she's been in remission for several years now. We're very happy. She gets tested every few months to keep up on when the Lupus might be becoming active again. She's on medications to help when her symptoms get worse off and on.
Feel free to ask any questions. I'll try to help! My mom and I found a book with the title something like "Everything you Need to Know About Lupus" a VERY helpful and informative book. Have you seen it?

I have two good friends with it. One is terminal and was is not. What does that mean? I haven't been able to find out. I think what I did hear is that one affects the major organs and the other doesn't. :confused:
