I was wondering if any of you ladies decorate your trees with a theme..........like all one color or victorian. My DD does her tree in all blues and silver and mine is mostly decorated with craft type ornaments although I have other things on it as well. I was thinking of going with all red and gold ornaments but that means getting rid of a lot of what I already have. Any themed tree decorators here?

I have a white tree and I do it in all blues, blue with silver or blue with gold. I use all blue lights and bought a new tree topper yesterday that is a all blue star. Looks pretty good I think.

My "main" tree is hodgepodge -- everything I've gathered over the years. Reminds me of home...
Then I have one in my entryway that I change out every year. This year it's all blue and silver.

I make my tree fresh every year by changing the garland. Some years it's gold, others multi-colored... this year I have green and red. :)
My ornaments are mostly glass balls with some wooden ornaments from Germany thrown in.

My tree has all different ornaments. There are some figurines, some plain balls, some with decorations on them. I have red, green, blue, green, silver and gold. I try to mix them so that two colors are not next to each other. I love the mixture, that is what I remember as a child. I do wish I had my mom's ornaments. They were so pretty.

Snowman, red, white, and silver. As long as the stuff on the tree falls into one of those categories it can go on the tree!

Right now my tree doesnt really have a color theme or anything, it is mostly just ornaments that I collected over the years. I love pulling out ornaments that I had as a child.
My husband and I got married last November and we decided that when we go on a trip we would buy ornaments as souvenirs and use those as our tree decorations...so far we have Jamaica, Cayman islands, Tulum Mexico, Vail Colorado, Washington DC and Mt. Vernon on our tree. I am looking forward to many more ornaments from all over the country...and hopefully other countries too! :)

our tree is a mix from my husbands past and mine.
the tree has to have the ability to hide the decorations in the tree not just on it --
the best ornament is the Christmas nail hung at the trunk. and then the manger nails.

I guess my theme for my tree would have to be things my kids have made, I always resuse the things they make and put it on the tree, it always looks so cute!
