I believe that weird, funny, odd, decorated socks are inexpensive entertainment.

I have many pairs of funny socks...many with dachshunds on them. On one pair, the dachshund wraps around the ankle...in another one the dachshunds are arranged in a pattern that look like an argyle plaid.

I have a red pair of socks with toto (from the Wizard of Oz) that a special friend sent to me.

I have a pair of green irish socks and a pair of orange and black striped that another friend sent.

Of course they aren't worn for "business casual" but can be quite a fun thing to wear.

:frog:

What about you? Do you have funny socks?

Please! I am a middle school teacher! Of course, I like funny socks. I have them for every holiday (We won't mention the 22 Christmas sweaters and shirts I have!) I have some with cute little fish and some with pink flamigos. I have some with feathers - which do shed - and some with bells and bows. There isn't a color of sock I don't have. It is getting hard to find those around here now. I like to wear them with denim dresses so they show! Teachers get away with that look!

Oh I love them. I like the ones with little grippers on the soles for night-in-bed wear.

Has anyone tried the ones that are like gloves, with thingies for the toes?

I have some toe socks! They are cute, but not terribly comfortable. I guess I don't like things between my toes. ;)

I used to have some funny cow socks. :) I guess my funniest ones now are the toe socks with bright red and green stripes.

I don't even think I own any serious socks! I have animals like dogs, ladybugs, frogs, cool designs like polka dots, wild stripes, leopard print, and things like that.

Ok, I do have normal socks! But I love to wear my silly socks!

I like to wear normal socks. I do have a pair of socks that fit like gloves. They are awkward and feel weird in-between my toes. Maybe it is something you have to be use to?

I love funny socks! Most of my mine have kitties on them. The funkier the kitty the better. :D My favorites were my Hello Kitty socks, they matched my Hello Kitty earrings and necklace. They got a hole in them so I can't wear them, but I still have them. Can't throw my kitties away.

I love silly socks, most of my other clothes are quite "normal", but it's so fun to wear socks that make you smile. I have socks with smiling faces, several ones with different kinds of frogs on them, cat socks..etc.... I even have a pair that a friend of mine gave me that are pink with bright yellow ducks all over them!

One of my guilty pleasures are the soft chenille socks that they sell now in beautiful colors. The are definately not the type of thing that you could wear to work... and they are comfy!

I like the ones with the gripper spots on them too. I have some with kitty cats and some with teddy bears. I tried the toe socks and couldn't get used to them.
I bought a pair of silly socks for my DH once. They said "Bob's sock" and "Bob's other sock" He laughed but never wore them.

I have pooh socks, fuzzy socks, socks with ducks on them...oh, wait, I don't have the duck socks anymore because DD stole them on her last trip out to visit mommy.
I made my DD a "pair" of socks, one purple, one blue. A lady on the bus said to her "I bet you have a pair just like that at home" DD responded with, "no, this is the way my mom gave them to me".
I am currently making a pair for the niece...one purple with white cuff, heel and toe and the other white with purple cuff, heel and toe. It uses up the ends fairly well.

I have a pattern for toe socks too...if you want to try making some.

I'm a big fan of fun socks. I have mostly socks with cats on them, but do have a few pairs of cows since my DH's family is into cows.

I wear them to work with dress pants, with jeans anywhere I can get away with it. My daughter is now getting into the fun socks too. (she has been 'stealing' mine now that her foot is big enough.

I also have a few pairs of the chennile socks, they are my "after hours" socks. It's great to change into them from high heels after a dress up day.

Have not worn toe socks since I was little, but have been tempted to get DD some.

An old boyfriends mother got me into funny socks. She's a peds nurse and the kids love to check out the funny socks she wears.

I have all sorts. I even have a pair that smell like peppermint! Joe Boxer @ Kmart, don't know if they still make "smelly socks" but they are pretty cool. They used to have a whole 4 foot section that were silly socks. I don't live anywhere near a Kmart now so couldn't tell you if they are still there or not. (I used to be the hosiery department manager there, it was hard not buying one of each!)
