I always have trouble with my feet. I've tried just about everything. The stones to rub off the dead skin, tons of lotion, even lotion just for cracked feet. I've even tried using vasoline and putting plastic bags on my feet. Nothing really works that good. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest a professional pedicure and take your cues from them. Besides...they feel fabulous and are well worth the money.

Hello! I have had this problem forever. My sister is a nurse and she suggested using the new Aquaphor by Eucerin everyday in the shower. I rub it on my feet after my shower (be careful...it makes standing in the shower very slick), before I dry off. My feet have shown an amazing improvement in just a week. Maybe that would help. Good luck!

You can try Bag balm. A Pharmacist I once worked with used to buy it for his wife, she used it faithfully and it worked very well.

I have found the Aquaphor to be good. I will put it on and then put on clean white socks at bedtime. Also, a pedicure is great for helping with this.

My daughter and hubby suffer from this skin disorder no matter what time of year it is. Wash and dry feet with an anti-bacterial soap like dial. Dry throughly. Soak your feet in whole fat milk. It must be whole milk. One cup to about 2 gallons of warm water (if you have a foot bath from homedics it works wonders, too!) and soak for about 30 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water, pat dry and then use either Eucerin or Vaseline lotion. This has worked in our house for over 20 years. :)

The only thing I've found is a lotion/cream called "LacHydrin". You can get it from most pharmacies. I had to ask my pharmacist as he keeps it behind the shelf although it does not require a prescription. It's about 10.00 for a tube, but well worth the price & it lasts a long time even though the tube is small. I use it on my hands too, just takes a small bit!
I have to agre with the Aquafor cream but only to use at bedtime because it's very thick & can be slippery when wearing shos or slippers afterwards. It has the consiostency of Vaseline, but the results are amazing. Another good product is Avon's cracked heel relief cream. ;) They also have a great foot file for calluses & rough skin.

After being in a cast for 8 wks. I found that soaking in Epsom salts (using foot whirlpool) and brushing during this soak really helped. I also know some people who have had to visit foot MD to have some scraping done. The brands of Kiehls, Philosphy & Bed, Bath, Body Works foot scrub all are well respected. Make sure to exfoliate your heels often before applying lotion on a regular basis (this will remove dead skin, that otherwise would just soak up your applied lotion & not benefit you). Good luck!
