Have you considered starting your own business? This seems to be a good avenue for women since the hours are flexible and we tend to be good by nature in "discovering needs and filling them".

I worked in the medical field for years. The hours were horrible and all in all the pay wasn't all that great for the stress that you had to endure. Then I was developing migraines and found it was alot due to stress so my hubby asked me one day what I would like to do and I told him open my own consignment store. I have always loved to shop them and felt it was a worthwhile business and with today's economy more and more are utilizing them to clothe their families and furnish their homes. So after 6 months of research and talking to other business owners I quit my job and used the profit sharing money I got and opened the store! We started off small (about 1000 sq ft) and now (5 yrs later) are up to over 9000 sq ft (6000 sq ft of that is merchandise). We also became an LLC after our 2nd year on business on the advice of our attorney and CPA. We are also currently considering on moving our business and "maybe" increasing our size again but personally, I kinda like the size we have now. We have employees now and that can be headache in itself but all in all I live what I do and would do it again in a heartbeat. :queen:

I started with a product I loved and then sprouted with franchising. I have all the training I need to make money and I can work from home. As a market developer, I direct customers to products, as well as develop other franchises. It was extremely simple to start, but had challenges at first just because I worked from home. It was easy to have distractions, and I didn't have that business mentality it takes to run a successful business at first. Now I can't believe how easy it is to make a living at home through the computer. Bill Gates is a genius! And I can schedule my time how I want and travel anywhere in the world since its based online. There's so many perks working from home, but challenges as well if you aren't self-disciplined. Of course...money will motivate anyone to move, right?!
