A few years ago Kitchenaid came out with the new colors in those big, countertop mixers that reminded me of my grandmother's kitchen. My mixer had been tossed out years before and I hadn't replaced mine...I needed a new mixer!
So I saved up a bit and splurged on a red kitchenaid mixer.
Ohhh! I love that thing!
Its heavy duty, stays in place carefully while I leave the mixer going as I grab the eggs or the flour to add to the cookie dough.
Its set me up for other kitchenaid stuff. All red. :D
Did you get the nostalgia kitchenaid bug too?

I have not gotten the nostalgia kitchenaid bug, but I had to replace my toaster recently. It is a Cuisenart and as my kids say, "old style."
I am wanting a green Kitchenaid mixer. I saw it at Williams-Sonoma and fell in love. ;) It's kind of a funky green. I am loving my Kitchenaid food processor! It's fabulous.

I have a Kitchenaid countertop mixer that I've had for more years than I can remember. It's white though, not a new color. I love it because it can do all the heavy stuff, like knead bread dough with the bread hook. It just keeps on going, I may never need a new one. :D

I am LOVING my big old kitchenaid black mixer... not just because it looks great on my counter but because there is nothing it can't do!

When I built my house my kitchen is painted sunny yellow. I took my very old kitchenaide and painted it yellow with enamel paint. It looks pretty darn good too and I get lots of compliments on it.

I adore my KitchenAid mixer! I use it mostly for making icing. Mine is white to match my white appliances, but red would look nice, too! Secretly I would love to have one in every color, but that would be too extravagant, right? ;) I think the grape color looks yummy. On the KitchenAid website there is a place to click on a mixer to view it in the available colors. What fun! :bliss:
I have the grinder attachment for my mixer and think it's a pretty handy gadget to have.
I would love it in grape, too! What a fun color. I'm a sucker for things in purple. ;)
And what a great idea to paint your old one yellow!

My Husband just bought me the professional series KitchenAid. What a treat. so far it can handle any thing I give it, with ease. I have all the attachments to, the pasta maker, the grinder, which is perfect for making bottled chili sauce and salsa, with those leftover tomatoes. I have to admit though, mine is just plain white.

I actually found one of the old ones at the local thrift store. Runs like a dream. Our kitchen is old, 30's with the original sink. We have started decorating with older items. I found a bread box that is that old pink color and last week we found a old tea kettle kitchen clock. I've also found pretty older crocheted pot holders and have them haning with the clock. I think I'm the only one who gets excited when I go to the thrift store and find old old stuff.

I LOVE those nostalgic Kitchen Aid mixers! I don't have one, but if I did, it would have to be turquoise or red. I just can't justify spending that kind of money (it's a Capricorn curse being too practical) when my hand held mixer works just fine, and as a full-time working woman I just don't spend that much time in the kitchen. I would love an old-fashioned kitchen, though.

I have been delaying on buying one because they are sooo heavy. I don't have enough room on my counter to leave it out. So far I have been able to make cookies, cakes, potatoes with my hand mixer but I do want to be able to walk away as it mixes. After hearing you gals rave about maybe I may think about getting one again. I just wish they wern't soo darn heavy!

I gotta say I really liked the PINK Kitchen Aid Mixer that came out for breast cancer support, but alas, I already had a white one to match my other appliances. :p

Girl, I live for finding old kitchen items at thrift stores and reasonable antique stores!! I have an old Hamilton Beach mixer that I use from the 60's. I also have canisters from the 50's that I use, and use my Ivory and Sapphire Blue Fireking loaf pans and casserole dishes!! I am addicted to old kitchen stuff. Use it and decorate with it too!

OK, I know this thread was started earlier this year, but I gotta tell you, I would not trade my red Kitchen Aid mixer for anything in this world. It can do anything! The next piece a
I'm getting is the pasta making attatchment, oh and the meat grinder. I guess that makes 2 pieces and not 1. But I tell you the attatchments are great! :D
