Who would you invite to dinner if you could dine with three other people? Anyone. From anytime. Past or present.

Your fantasy dinner party!

Here is mine:

1. Elizabeth Elliott (wife to Jim Elliott)

2. Laura Bush ( Yes, I think she is lovely. I find her charming and would love to meet her)

3. Jane Phillips (my mom, died in 1982 from ovarian cancer. I have lots of things to catch up with her)

This is kinda a hard question

1. Papa-Who: Grandfather from my mom's side. Died Oct 03. Only saw him twice a year. He had so many stories, so many experiences. I want to hear more.

2. Molly Shannon: Great, fun lady! Used to want to take her place on SNL.

3. Barbara Walters: I want to hear an autobiography from her. OK I would also ask to be on The View!! My first major was in R/TV wanted to be like her!!

Wow - what a great question...
Lets see:

1) A serial killer like Ted Bundy or Eileen Wernos-to find out what makes them tick..I mean we were all created by the same God and I would want to know them as a person..

2)Robert Duvall- he just seems like a wonderful person.

3)Former Gov of La- Earl K Long- he was such a nut...

1. Elizabeth Bennet Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. She's so smart and cynical.
2. Jim Henson- I am a huge Muppet/Fraggle fan and I would just love to hear him spout off ideas.
3. J.R.R. Tolkien- he's a creative genius. I would just like to sit and here him talk about his fantasy world.

Wow...this actually takes some thought....
I have to choose ONLY 3 people and there are so many I would like to dine with....past or present? That makes it even harder!

NASCAR drivers, wrestlers, royalty, movie/TV stars, the list can go on and on and on....

But I think I would pick...
Queen Elizabeth, Mark Calloway, and the homeless guy that I have seen at 6:30 every morning outside the Starbucks across the street from where I catch my bus.

Now, lets work on that menu

:bliss:

PS and if I could have one more person, it would be Jamie Oliver....to work on that menu

Thomas Jefferson, Amelia Earhart and Monet.

This one really takes some thought! Only three?

#1 - My Mom who left to live with Jesus in 2004 after a very short fight with ovarian cancer. There so much I didnt get a chance to ask. Now that I've had my hysterectomy, I really understand where she was coming from for so many years. She really didnt have anybody who understood.

#2 - Job - what made his faith so strong?

#3 - Elizabeth Blackwell (America's First Female Doctor) What an inspiration!

My fantasy dinner would include my mom, (died 4 yrs ago), I would love to tell her about the kids , and catch up with all they are doing, and christy is graduating...mom and her were "book buddies" exchanging books. Mom loved both my kids so much..she was always interested in all they were doing..She would be so proud.
And my brother, Mike, who passed away just 10mos ago. We could have his fave pizza, and talk about all the things we never had the chance to share.
My best friend , Caroline, I lost contact with her a few yrs ago..tried to find her and found a phone number..but she's never home..I don't have any email addys or cell no. for her..I haven't seen her for 4 yrs...would love to go to the hacienda restaurant with her and catch up on everything...

Mine all are family members long gone that I didn't get to spend enough time with.

Grandpa Frank - died in '89, only saw him a couple times a year when the family went to visit.

Greart Grandma Louise - died in '84, I was only a kid when she died and have heard so many stories about her. She was all by herself when she gave birth to her 3rd child. Well, not alone, her other two children (under the age of 5) were with her. Sure would love to hear the stories she could tell.

Great Grandma Ida - died in '02, not all that long ago, but still didn't know her as well as I would have liked.

Do they have to all come to the same meal? I would love to have them one on one.

Now, for what to serve. I remember Grandpa Frank loved my Mom's spaghetti and garlic bread meal.

Grandma Louise - hmm? Would love for her to show me how she cooked, I have a couple of her recipes and I'm sure if she made them she could give me a couple pointers.

Grandma Ida - not really sure. Probably chicken & rice casserole, with sour dough corn meal muffins and cherry cheese cake. I'm not sure why, but it just seems right. Maybe I've had all of these at her house when I was younger???
