Super Bowl party?

Here in New England everyone has Super Bowl Fever. The supermarkets are packed with people buying party food (around here everyone makes chicken wings and chili) and people are proudly walking around wearing their team attire.

Is anyone going to a Super Bowl party? I have to work until 5 and the game starts at 6:15. I'm staying home but a friend will come to watch the game with me. No party, just pizza and coffee. Lots of excitement though.

Do you have a favorite team today or do you have a Super Bowl party every year? I'm rooting for the Patriots, but it should be a good game whatever the final outcome.

We are going to a Super Bowl party this year for the first time in a long time. Everyone is bringing something to eat. I made sausage and peppers, coleslaw and brownies. I am hoping that my GIANTS pull off the upset of the year! That would just make my day!

We're going to a party. The guys will scream at the big screen. THe gals will watch from one eye while we talk. I'm anxious to see who the winner will be for the Doritos contest which is revealed as a commercial during the super bowl. My favorite: Landon Austin on his guitar.....

We are having a taco bar. I'm bringing fruit and a dessert. I haven't decided yet what dessert I'm going to make yet. I'll decide on my way home from church, make it and then take it this evening. Party starts at 4:45 here in Texas. Ya'll come!

I'm not much of a sports fan so there isn't anything special on my agenda for today...and I'm not admitting who I'm rooting for since I had friends who like both teams ;)

On a side note: When Detroit hosted the Superbowl 2 years ago, I was amazed at the frenzy that built up the entire week before the game. I work in Detroit and it was amazing and such a blast being in the midst of all the hoopla. :D

No party here this year. If my team had made it I would've put out a big spread! But as they didn't, I will watch a bit of the game, but will not be watching the whole game. It's too late for me. I need to be in bed early as I get up at 4am.

Last night dh got an itch for some alcohol so we ran to the liquor store. They were packed! It was 8pm on a Saturday, the line was about 10 deep at each checker. We were shocked, but than realized it was Super Bowl weekend. I suspect there are others who are having parties. :cheerlead Oh, and someone actually bought a $1,600 bottle of Remy Martin! :eek:
