48 hours and 50 bucks

What would you do, especially for you, with 50 dollars and 48 hours of alone time?

Geezz!!! 50 bucks doesn't go very far these days.

I would buy a bottle of wine and some popcorn. I would rent a great chick flick. I would invite a couple good friends over for a girls night in.

Any money left over.... I would go to Walmart and buy a few Easter cards and a few packets of wild flower seeds and send them out to old friends.

Any money left over.... Buy a good paper back and find a comfortable place to read.

$50 would not cover my 48 hours of alone time.

However it would be a day at the spa, come home with a great book and a blanket for the next day.

I would buy some yarn and whip up a cute afghan for my nephew who is due the beginning of June.

I would spend the $$ on wine, a book and candles. Then I would turn off the phone, light the candles in the bathroom, soak in a nice hot bath, then put on some music and drink the wine. That would cover the first few hours.

Then I would read the book, take a break and do the above again. Then read some more, take another break and do the above again. I would keep doing this the whole time alone.

Oh, I would also throw in some fav foods and chocolate :-)

I'd hit my favorite bookstore, which is what I do with any extra money I get (and often with non-extra money, I have to admit). I'd buy a great hardback, since I usually limit myself to cheaper paperbacks, a book that I'd always thought was too expensive. Then I'd go to my favorite cafe, sit outside at a table under the gorgeous elms, drink expensive coffee beverages and eat some naughty pastries, and read until they kicked me out. And I'd come back the next day and the next until all my time and money were gone. Bliss! :woohoo2:

I'd probably go to some first-run movies each day (get in before 6:00 for the better price ;) ) -- by myself. No 7-year-old to say, "Mom!" every five minutes.

No need for snacks since I'm on Jenny Craig -- so I could get some serious movie-watching in.
