I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and will officially miss my bday, which is April 1st.
My question is, what ideas might you have of things I might be able to do here at home for me to make my own day special?
Some ideas I have are to:
Ask a friend to come help out with a manicure/pedicure.
Ask a friend to come brush my hair (it's rather long) and maybe put it in hot rollers for me so I feel good about it for a day.
Lunch or dinner? I'm not so sure about that...
Ask someone to bring me coffee?
I feel like I'm not being very inventive and the bday questions are going to start coming soon. THIS year, I'd like to answer that silly question, "What would you like for your bday?"
Thanks!

How about having a few friends over, order pizza and watch some movies? A b'day party doesn't have to be a big bash, just enjoying time with family and friends makes for a great day for me!

Great!
Now... If I can just get one of them to rub my feet!
lol
Thanks for the idea!
As Kim suggested, I would just invite some friends over to enjoy their company.
Take care

Have a few friends over and make it your day. You can have them all bring a dish you pick the theme and just have a great time.

I thought of another idea. Some massage therapists will come to you. I don't know what kind of surgery you had but they could focus their treatment on your feet or scalp etc. Just and idea.

Great idea! Maybe I'll check around and see what I can do.
I had a LATVH 2 weeks ago yesterday, so April 1st will be 3 weeks out.
Depending on how long the appt. will be, I could possibly go there if my gf drives. Hey! Maybe a gf spa date for my bday?!

I appreciated it when a few of my friends dropped by a week after my surgery just to visit.
I would have a small group of friends over and order from a nearby deli or restaurant that delivers to your house. You will all have so much to talk about you probably will not even need to rent a movie, but if you want to keep one in reserve, do so.
Have a Happy Birthday in April and have a great time!

Thank you!
Maybe I'll just grab some friends and take our kids to Chuck E Cheese or the laser tag place... I won't be able to do a WHOLE lot, but I could watch mykids really enjoy my day.
I think they will have to invite friends, though. They are getting too old for making friends on the spot, like they used to!

I would go for the girls day in. Have some friends over, watch some movies and have a good time without the hustle and bustle of Chuck E Cheese. It is *your* birthday. ;)

LOL
Good point. I feel like I have been a prisoner in the house, though, so maybe I'll take your suggestion, but take it OUT of the house - spa or movies or something without too much movement involved - or alcohol (still on meds).
