Taxes Done Yet?

It's April....are your tax returns filed yet?

Mine aren't....but our tax guy is working on them. I hate to think about it this year because I know I have a very big check to write out due to a large capital gain last year. I think I'll write the check on about, oh, April 14! :)

Also, I read that even if you don't normally file a return, you need to file one to get that check from the government for economic stimulus or whatever.... you know, the $600 or $1200 they are sending out soon. :)

Taxes are done and the refund is already back.

Looking forward to the other return coming later this year.

Taxes are due, but not filed yet. We also have to pay so are waiting for tax day! We were in for a big surprise when we found out we could no longer declare our son as a dependent, even though it took him a year and a half to find a permanent job after graduating from college. The government feels that it was actually possible for him to live and be independent on the $6,000 he made last year! Ha! But, at least he can say that he now is gainfully employed in a job that he really likes and is well on his way to independence! Yippee!!!

We just signed our return and dropped it off at the CPA on Friday. For once, we don't owe! :yay" But that means we paid in too much :thumbsdow We will apply the refund to our 1st quarter estimated taxes. All in all, it worked out well this year.

Taxes are due and not mailed yet! :eek: Will wait until April 14th (I like a day to cushion, just in case) to drop them in the mail. Can't wait for that stimulus back though!

Gee, I am not sure, the accountant has not sent them back to us yet! We should get them Monday.
