I have been wearing underwire bra's since I was 16 years old. I can't tell you how many times I've been poked by that darn wire breaking through the fabric. :rolleyes:
I just bought a new bra by Bali that has the support of an underwire, but is much more soft and comfortable. :D
I sure hope it lives up to it's promise. :p
Has anyone else said goodbye to the underwire bra?
I wore them for awhile when I was younger and never felt comfortable in them. I did find non-underwire that I felt gave me enough support, but that style no long fits right.
One of the things on my to-do list is go to a recommended undergarmet shop and get a good fitting for some better bras.
Take care

What's it called? My favorite bra ia a Bali underwire. I wouldn't mind replacing it with one that works without a wire :D

I'm with clogaholic, I need a name. I've pulled the underwires out of mine recently, but that's not the greatest way to go, since they weren't made to be that way. But I really hate being poked. So, LuvMaui, tell, tell ;-}

OK... SO I HATE THIS BRA. :mad:
It's supported by bulking up and widening the band that goes around your body. It's thick and hurts after a while of wearing it.
I still like the idea of not having an underwire, so I'm going to keep looking for a more comfortable one.

So glad I read your last post. I was ready to try out that non-underwire bra.
I have been wearing underwire bras for years. I'm a 36C and don't really think I can get the support without the underwire. I was really hoping you had found a good non-underwire bra.
Thanks for letting us know.

I recently went to a bra shop to be fitted, after years of "not" wearing an underwire, I am now wearing an underwire. However; these bras are very comfy, I don't feel the underwire at all. I think much depends on the fit and wearing the right shape and size bra for you.

Thanks for the update - I'll give it a pass. I like to be supported AND comfortable :)
Good luck with your search.

I HATE underwire bras also. I found a very comfortable bra at J.C. Penney made by Underscore. They make bras with and without underwires. I wear the one without. It is one of the most comfortable bras ever and I really need support (D cup). I have found myself buying them in bulk when they are on sale.
