I'm watching the finale of "Biggest Loser" and Im intrigued by the notion of getting away for a crash course in fitness and health.

Anyone know of a place that that for regular people unrelated to a TV show?

I am watching the finale at this time also. They have all done great and I look forward to finding out who wins.

My mom and I talked about this show this past weekend and my mom also would like to know about a 'fat' camp for someone who needs to lose 20-50 pounds.

One of the woman I used to play wallyball with went on a spa vacation. She is really into exercise said they had all kinds of exercise programs you could sign up for and specific meal plans based on why you were there.

I'm not sure where it was or what it was called. She mentioned her sister doing more of the relaxing spa type activities with a few exercise classes so I'm guessing a lot of those spa resorts would have weight loss programs.

Take care

Sounds like fun! I don't have much weight to lose (maybe 10-15 pounds?) but I am so inspired by the Biggest Loser program with their healthy choices and better fitness....that it makes me want to go too!

I was just saying the other day how I wish I was bigger just so I would be able to go on the show and gain all the knowledge. I have heard of the "health" spas, but I do not know where any are located let alone how much you would pay for something like that. I am surprised that there are not more programs like the Biggest Loser out there for the non tv people.

I wouldn't be suprised to see programs popping up based on the popularity of the program.

Something set up for the non-TV people with realistic time commitments would be great. I'm sure a lot of people would participate too. The weight loss wouldn't be as dramatic, but it also would be something that anyone could do (I don't know how most of the participants can commit to being away from their normal life that long).

There are on-line support/tracking type programs but I don't find they provide me the right motivation to keep on track.

Take care
