I really don't make it a habit to watch "R" rated movies because of the violence and foul language. However there were a couple new movies I really wanted to see so I thought oh well.. how bad could they really be....

"Forgetting Sara Marshall" - Frontal male nudity, crud sex scenes and a life time supply of the "F" word.

"Deception" - Approximately 7 different crud sex scenes. The story revolved around a sex club. I thought I was going to see a mystery with Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor. They sure mis-sold that one.

I think it's time to really check out those ratings and if it's an "R" I will definitely PASS ;)

I don't understand why movies need to resort to all the sex, violence and foul language they have now. There are some occassions where some of this may help the plot line, but in many cases I feel there is no justifiable reason.

If I want to see a movie that doesn't stop me, however I usually don't enjoy them as much as if some of that stuff was left to my imagination.

Take care

If a film has a weak story it resorts to sex and foul language. I could tell that Forgetting Sarah Marshall was going to be one of those movies from the previews I was forced to watch the last time I went to the cinema. Unfortunately, it's far easier to sell cheap trash than quality films and the trash tends to make more money. A class movie like There Will Be Blood barely plays for a week where I live, if it comes at all, but lowbrow garbage will play for three months. It's pathetic.
