Anything tropical! Give me a sunny, white sandy beach with turquoise water........ One of our favorite all time vacations was a sailing trip with friends a couple years ago. We spent a week sailing around the British Virgin Islands........it was heavenly!! :bliss:

Spain is very nice. I have been there twice and really enjoyed myself. In the USA, definitely the Grand Canyon. I have been there twice also, it is so awesome and beautiful. It makes you realize how big this universe is. The quietness of the place and people are quiet also as they are overcome with the beauty and vastness of it. I would recommend it as one place to not miss out on seeing. The Hoover Dam is also very awe inspiring, and it is just down the road from th Grand Canyon. then you may as well keep traveling and see Viva Las Vegas for a total contrast.

I have been on several cruises and have had my fill for now; I have developed a passion for Las Vegas and most recently spent Christmas in Galtlinburg, TN in a secluded luxury cabin which I think is my new favorite winter vacation spot. We are actually hoping to buy a vacation home there.

I really miss the ocean of the northern California coast.
And the Redwoods.
And the winding roads.

When we moved to the midwest 18 years ago, I couldn't image I'd miss it, but sometimes I even dream if walking thru the Redwoods to find myself looking out over the ocean,

We live pretty close to the beach so I'd choose a cruise.
Since I've never been on one - any cruise :D

I live in Australia in the mountains about two hours drive from the nearest beach.

I love Waikiki most in all the world!!! The weather, the people, the beach, the shopping.....my idea of the ideal holiday destination.

PS I have been to Disneyland and it was "the happiest place on earth". Truly!! It was better than my widest child hood dreams!
My daughters went to Disneyworld in Orlando and they said it was even better!

Here in Israel, Eilat. And I don't even like the water so much, but it is a fun town!

In Europe, either anywhere in Italy or London, depending if I'm thinking food or theatre!

I would love to take a cruise, but they are so pricey, esp. for a single room. :(

We like to make a yearly visit to the gorgeous Florida beaches, and one to a different region of the country. We have enjoyed
the North Carolina mountains, coastal California, and our last trip to the Riverwalk at San Antonio. DisneyWorld is in our backyard, and after years of visiting Disney multiple times of the year, it is no longer my number one choice for a vacation.
It's refresing for us to visit a location that is completely different from our beloved Florida.

I have to say Maine!! DH and I love going there to visit my siblings and mom. We don't do many "touristy" things, but we are so relaxed there and are always stress-free. I guess it's the countryside and the laid-back attitude of the locals. However, even though I'm not a tropical type person, I so badly want to visit the island of Oahu in Hawaii, because my daughter lives there. My so-in-law is stationed in Pearl Harbour and I miss them so much. I'm so very fair-skinned that I'd have to get the highest SPF sunblock available.

I love vacation no matter where we go. Every few years it's the beach in Florida. Then we seem to rotate to the mountains or desert areas. Las Vegas is always a great trip, the best "people watching" ever. We spent last week in Alabama with our horses and bird dogs, now that was lots of fun (to us anyway).

Disney World is great, the Bahamas sound wonderful, but we also are happy sticking closer to home, we go to Bar Harbor Maine often and never get sick of it...My son loves to be outside and he gets lots of time outside while we are there.

I love vacations! Anywhere, anytime. There's so much to see and do that I never want to come home. My favorite vacation is a cruise. We will be leaving in 38 days for our 6th cruise! I love being pampered, waking when we want, doing as much or as little as we want. The food is good, the shows are excellent and the best part is getting to go to different places and not having to pack and unpack.
After cruising I guess my next favorite is Florida. I love going to Disney or just to the beach. I am leaving in 4 days to go to visit my Dad with my 2 daughters. We're spending a day at Disney, going to Silver Springs for a concert and hopefully spending a day just sitting by Dad's pool.

I would really love to go on a crusie someday. But as crazy as this might sound...my dream vacation right now is to go to Plymouth, MASS. Before he passed away, my dad traced our roots al the way to the Mayflower. He always wanted to go & we planned a trip but then he got sick & we never got to go. Possibly (If gas doesn't go through the roof) I'll go this summer

Camper,
I live about 25 minutes from Plymouth. It's very nice and there are lots of things to do besides seeing Plymouth Rock, which, by the way, they are going to be covering with a wood framed box to protect it while they work on the portico that covers it. You can go on a ship that is a replica of the Mayflower as well as touring a few of the reproduced houses the Pilgrims lived in. A little further away you can visit Plymouth Plantation which is a wonderful way to spend the day. It is a replica of the Plymouth settlement complete with costumed actors playing the part of the early settlers.
If you get the chance to visit you really need go on a whale watch. A boat will take you out to the Sound where whales feed in the summer. It's the most amazing thing to see a whale breaching with their big tail fin flapping!
Also if your name is any indication of your love of camping there are some pretty amazing campgrounds in the area. If you do plan on coming sometime in the near future PM me and I can tell you more!
