Let's post creative, inexpensive valentine gift ideas. I love the idea of making personal coupons...like IOUs. With today's computer software there are simple ways to make a page of fun coupons.
What are you planning for your family members?

I always make coupon books for my hubby. He uses them up pretty quickly so he always loves to get them. I put in coupons for massages, free days to do nothing with no guilt, breakfast in bed, some coupons that are very personal.
My daughter got jealous on daddy's coupon book, so I am making her one. It will have coupons that say, get your nails polished, go shopping, one candybar, read me a book, trip to grandmas.
I hoping one day I get a coupon book too. I would love a do nothing all day coupon!

I got a glass heart-shaped dish full of wrapped choc candy, with a glass lid (so it can be TWO dishes) for each of my teen DDs. I also got a big bag of conversation hearts, which are in smaller portion-sized bags, so they can give out to their friends if they want :)

I definitely need some ideas for my boyfriend! I think the Valentines market is definitely there to help the gentleman. I could never buy him a fluffly little stuffed animal! Candy is always good of course- I bought Hugs and Kisses. Any other ideas?

I buy my dh a funny card and will prepare him a nice dinner and than give him lots of kisses. Real ones. :D We've never done alot for Valentine's Day, just a little something to say I love you.
I like the idea of coupons. I'm not very creative so something homemade is out, but coupons I can do. ;)

I love cards!! But I usually take forever to pick one out...I tend to read almost every card!! I am going to try to make a little dessert this year...not sure yet what. Noelle you are right. The Valentine market is catered to women and children. If I would have found it earlier I would have taken a picture and have it made into a puzzle. I didn't know it could be done up until recently. Always next year!!

I sent my DD a CandyMUG, my DD who lives at home is getting a movie and my DH is getting candy and a rose bush. That way we both have flowers for a long time :D
I visit my nearest Dollarama & get lots of cute Valentine gifts for everyone on my list! I make them all happy without having to empty out my wallet! :signheart

I always get my DH a card, and sometimes chocolate....he's easy to please. He's not one for dining out much, though. This year, I got him a nice jar candle since he's always using mine. I found a real chocolate scented one that is very strong. It's not a brand name, but rather a private company that makes them right here in Rhode Island. Maybe now, he'll leave mine alone. Another not-too-expensive idea would be to rent a movie (action, comedy, whatever you think he'll like). Cuddle up with him and watch it together. Have supper or snacks for him and let the answering machine pick up.
