Just wondering how work is for you. I work for an escrow company in Southern California where things have drastically changed. My company had 10 employees at the beginning of 2007 and now we only have four. We handle so many short sales now that regular sales are hard to come by. The real estate side of our company has teamed up with Countrywide to help them with their foreclosures which has turned out to be more of a headache than anything else.

Hi, I'm a retired Escrow Officer. I retired a couple years ago to help provide care for my deaf twin Grandson's.

I'm still in touch with most everyone who is left the Title Company that I worked for.

When I left my Company had 9 office in the Reno, NV area, and over 100 employee's. Today they have 5 office's and approx 30 employee's. It blows my mind.

It's a very difficult time for our Industry. :(

My sister worked for a Title and Escrow company and several people, her included were laid off several months ago and has yet to be able to get a job in that field. It's awful out there but hey! we aren't in a recession! Yeah right.

I'm a real estate secretary but I have my license in escrow. I tried selling out, but don't think that it's my thing. It's VERY cut throat! I also found it hard to have a life outside of real estate. Living off commission was tough, too!

I absolutely love my job as a secretary. I find a lot of interest in real estate & I love paperwork!

Our market is doing okay. We have a huge lake in our area which is a great draw. Prices haven't really gone down at all, even though that's what people assume. We also haven't had to get rid of any sales associates
