View Full Version : Where else do you go online?

I'm in a rut. If I don't want to look at recipes or buy something specific online I only check my mail and come here when I'm online.

I sit in front of the computer and try to think of more places or things I might be interested at look at, but besides games, I can't seem to find anything fun online.

So where else do you go, what else do you do?

I know how to Google, so it's not like I can't find something specific I'm looking for.

Just looking for more interesting fun sites.

I like looking through ebay and finding odd things for sale. Most of the time I don't purchase anything, I just browse, looking at stuff that reminds me of my childhood home or my grandmother's house.

I also love to read the news. I visit news websites several times during the day.

Sometimes I go on websites of places I have vacationed or am planning to go to. One of my favorites is the Walt Disney World website. Sometimes I just need to be a kid again. :jump:

I use the Mozilla browser and it has a cool feature called Stumble! All I have to do is click the Stumble button and it takes me to a different website. I set up what things I like, so it finds websites that correspond. I love it. I find new things and sites all the time.

I check my email (2 different accounts).

Mary Kay, when I am needing to order new stuff.
Isagenix, when I need to order additional weight loss/maintenance supplies.
Ebay, to see what is for sale, or to get a price for an item.
Vacations are planned on line
Hotel websites when I need to travel somewhere.
Skyward Access, check DS school attendance, grades, and food services.
Banking online.
Headlines, always something interesting.
GGG
Hystersisters
Whatever else peaks my interest.

There is so much I do on-line and I really need to cut back. :o

A couple times a day I check email, a couple "hot deal" sites, and this site.
There are a few other sites I check daily or at least every couple of days.
Daily download my financial stuff into Quicken.
Weekly - do on-line banking and pay bills.

Other things I do based on whatever my current interest is
look for receipes, investigate potential vacation spots and local campgrounds, make all my travel arrangements on-line, research how to do various things (I fixed my washer after finding a uTube video :D ), on-line shopping and play games (right now I'm hooked on Bejewled 2 again).

Take care

I am like jcme, need to cut back.

Email, banking, here, HysterSisters, Soldiers' Angels, a couple of web forums for Army Parents, a couple of Christian forums, some blogs that I read, news, make travel arrangements, Facebook, etc.

I visit sites that sell natural products for soap and candle crafting and compare costs.
I also visit live web-cam sites for the east coast. It kinda makes me feel I am at the beach.
Love to search posts on Hystersisters and GGG! ;)

There's an online community that I adore and am on a lot -- I wish this place was as active as that one!

I have all kinds of links on my Yahoo account that I follow from time to time -- Snopes is a fav.

I go on to a lot of news blogs and write letters to the editor on line, but I have a special name for that stuff.

I love Snopes, too! I check it every few days for "what's new" in the land of urban legends and just weird stuff. :)

I use the Food Network site to look up recipes, as well as Taste of Home.
I get my news from the site of one of our local TV stations.
I spend a good deal of time at Hyster Sisters.
Youtube is pretty fascinating sometimes -- it's a good time-waster.
I have a couple of catalog sites I check out from time to time for new clothes.
The Mayo Clinic website is my go-to for medical issues.

That's a partial list, anyway.

I have a myspace so I visit that everyday. I also enjoy my family emails. I used to check out the msn Q&A, but it gets too weird.

Smart woman for using that site :)

The National Library of Medicine is also very good.

As a Medical Librarian I am always warning people about using spurious medical sources on the net!

Well, I have a myspace account so I look at that daily. I check my e-mail daily, check my hystersisters site daily to see how my girls are, I check on here daily, and I check what's going on in the world on the news sites. Sometimes I don't have time to check up on all that is happening when the news is on in the evenings.

I have a Facebook account now, so I check it a lot. I have FAcebook instead of My Space because that's where I was invited to join. Never would have gone there on my own, but now that I am there it is so addictive.

Anyone from here who wants to look me up, I use the same name. Except for professional stuff, I never use my real name on the net.

I also like to blog on Greta Van Sustern's blog at Fox, but it can get rather crazy, and I use a different name there.

I like to look at a page where pictures of animals, mainly cats, are posted with funny captions that people supply. They're hysterical. It's called I Can Has Cheezeburger (cats apparently have a problem with grammar) and it always makes me laugh. :sillycat:

Cute site!

This is exactly the weird sort of stuff I was trying to find!

I see two users with the name on facebook, which one are you? Neither one has a network named on them.

I am on a computer all day for my job so I don't spend a lot of time on it at home.

When I do log on at home, I love Hystersisters. The girls there are so supportive and helpful. There are a lot of groups and fun stuff to do as well as people to talk to that can relate.

I am a Disney fan so I visit the offical Disney site as often as I can and I like visiting LaughingPlace for Disney park updates and photos. Iago and Zazu's Attraction
of the Week is also fun for Disney nostalgia.

I also have a passion for musical theatre so I will sometimes peruse the theatrical houses of rnhtheatricals and mtimusicalworlds for show synopsis.

My BF is a cologne addict and he spends most of his computer time on Basenotes.
