If anyone would like to share how they deal with work-place worry, please let me know. I am in the classification of
"The Worlds Worst Workplace Worrier" and I admit it and I want to know what the secret(s) are to help. I worry about everything. I try to be in the moment, present and not stress over things I can't control, but I find myself drifting to the what if department, or I should have dept. Then to I am gonna worry while at home! Please help! Open to any advice!

For me. I do my job to the best of my ability and when I go home, I go home. No work for me in the evening or on the weekends.

I leave work every day for lunch just to get out of the office for 30 minutes. There are many times I will go to the park and play solitare on my PDA just to clear my mind.

Instead of being a worrier, I am the over thinker. I think ahead instead of after. Currently I am having problems with production manager, changing schedules and many other things without thinking everything through first. I put out my concerns to him and the GM. Now it is in their courts.

Poohtie - Now, my co-worker can give you a run for your money. From the sounds of it she could beat you in the worry department.

I worked 20 years at my job. There was always stress and pressure for 100% accuracy, since we were always working with large amounts of other people's money.

My best advice for handling work related worry is:

- ALWAYS TAKE A LUNCH BREAK, even if it's 20 minutes get a change of scenery

- TRIPLE CHECK your work

- ASK FOR HELP IF YOUR FEELING OVER LOADED

- DON'T BRING WORK HOME & DON'T BRING HOME TO WORK (at least try your best)

- REALIZE THAT MOST MISTAKES CAN BE FIXED :)

- ALL YOU CAN DO IS YOUR BEST, if that's not good enough... time to get a different line of work.

- PRAYERS REALLY HELP!

The other ladies have given very good advice. I would add a related concept: that you need to learn to recognize yourself for what you do well. That's something I find a lot of people don't do, and I used to be one of them! I was always beating myself up for things that I had done my absolute best on. Once I managed to give myself credit for my good accomplishments I learned how to stop worrying about every little thing.

Ladies, I just want to thank each of you for your kind and caring advice. I am going to work smarter, not harder and try to leave work at work and home at home and always, pray for God's guidance, as well! Thank you so much for posting!!
