In August I lost my job due to missing work from having Pneumonia. I had all sorts of Dr's notes, but the Company I was working for didn't care, all they cared about was having someone there. Since then I've applied to several ad's, but have only received one response. This job pays $4 less than what I am used to making and is only part time. I need a full time job and one that pays more, but I am so strapped for money that if offered this position I have to take it. I hate the timing of losing my job as GA has the highest unemployment rate right now. I've been in the medical field for 7 years and can't even find a decent job to apply for. Anyway, sorry for that little rant. I guess I am hoping I get this job.
Chatdecalicot,
I'm sorry you lost your job due to being ill. Good luck with your interview.
Take care

Hope the interview went well! I know about having to take a pay cut. In 2003 I was laid off from a very well paying job, ended up being out of work for 7 months. The job I took was about $30K less per year than what I was making. I am still with that company today. I have received several increases, while I am not back to where I was, I am employed and am making decent money.

YellowRoseTex-
Sorry about you having to take a pay cut! It's not easy, is it? The interview went well, but I won't hear anything for 10-14 days! Yuck!

My Daughter is a CPA. She went on a 2 hour interview on Monday. They asked her if she wanted the job and she said yes. She was told there was just a couple more people who were being interviewed and they would contact her later in the week. She felt that she most likely had the job. She waited all week long and never got a call back. This afternoon (Friday) she decided to email them. She got an email back saying that they hired another person.
My Daughter is a college graduate Accountant and CPA. Times are tough. There's just not many job openings in our area. There is lots of layoffs.
I sure hope you get a job soon :)
