Who would have thought burnt toast could screw up a kitchen so bad?
John was a sweetheart and made dinner last night.. Spaghetti & French Bread... Yummy right? Well my Darling husband likes his bread toasted very toasty and he turned the French bread into a smoke bomb.
I was relaxed in the living room and from the kitchen I heard !&*%$ !!!!!! I ran in there and Oh my Goodness... the smoke was so thick I couldn't even find my husband. I sealed off the kitchen from the rest of the house and opened every window and ran the fan. When the smoke cleared I realized my poor husband had smoke inhalation.
We decided to leave all the windows open and hopfully the smoke smell would just air out. John put the dinner pots and pans to soak in the sink then we brought our cold spaghetti into the living room to eat. A while later John went into the kitchen and again I heard $()&%$ !!!! I ran into the kitchen to see what in the world was going on now.... John said "I left the hot water running in the sink!!!" OH NO!!! The hot water is gone and we smell like smoke so bad and our hair is full of smoke.. I guess it's going to be a cold shower :( But John said let's just get out of here and get in the Hot Tub.
When we got up this morning and opened the door to the Kitchen it was BAD... The smell of smoke was soooooo strong. We cleaned EVERYTHING. The walls, The curtains, the seat cushions, the stove, the windows... Every square inch of the kitchen.
Now here we are sitting drinking a cup of coffee and we can still smell smoke.
Who would have thought burnt toast could have caused smoke damage?
