So, I've just discovered her.

Why is it I always thought that she wrote steamy romance novels?

I've read three books and they are GREAT stories! A little romance, but I've read steamier in Cosmo!

Is there any other authors I should know about?

I haven't read any of Danielle Steele's books but I've seen lots of her movies on TV, usually on Saturday afternoon and they are good. Usually they are stories which sweep through a few generations of the same family, tying a theme throughout. I like hearing stories of families which endure. I like reading books by Kathy Reichs at the moment. CSI kind of stuff.

I love to read!! One of my fav authors is Nora Roberts alter ego J.D. Robb. She write about a women who is cop in the future who solves homicides. Fantastic writer. Another author whose name has left my brain this morning write about an attorney Barbara Holloway and her father Frank. Great stories.

I just finished Zoya, by Danielle Steele. Wow. The only time I cried more over a book was when Charlotte died in Charlotte's Web. Zoya is a cousin to the Russian Tsar and manages to escape to Paris with her Grandmother. It follows her life, she has many loses in her life but manages to come out on top in the end. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. I've been picking up Steele's books at the local resale shop, what a steal of a deal.

My other favorite authors are John Sandford and Henry Kisor.
Henry Kisor summers in our village and has written 3 mysteries based in our village and county. It's cool to read his stories b/c you know the shops and places, streets he's talking about. And most of his characters at least loosely resemble some of the people I know, especially in speech.

Reichs Rocks!!!!!

I read everything she writes, including some of her textbooks!

I think I'm gonna get flamed for this, but I think she is so much better than Cornwall.

Back to Steele, I read one of her books, I think it was called The Ring.

Ugly. full of women hating women stereotypes. Hated it.
