If you could choose any period in time to visit would it be Past? Future?
I always tell my DH that I wish We could go back in time and VACATION IN HAWAII in the 1950's. It sounds great to me.
How about you? What period in time and where would you like to visit?
Hmmm...that's a tough question. There are a lot of historic times I'd like to visit, but not without our modern convieniences. ;)
I grew up during the 60's and would love to revisit as an adult to see how the things I grew up with shaped my future.
For location, if I could visit without participating, I'd like to see how the explorers ventured West and settled into different areas. As a participant, I think I'd prefer something a little more luxurious like being a passenger on a steamship vacation.
Take care

This is a great question! I think if I could visit any period it would be the 1920s. I've read so much about that time, and I think it would be very interesting, knowing what we do know about how things turned out, to be an on-the-scene observer. I'd try to read any newspapers I could get my hands on so I could track events. The economy, changing values, women just getting the vote (how cool would it be to get to vote in the first presidential election women were allowed at the polls?), the developing Irish Free State/Republic, the events in Europe leading up to WWII...so much was going on in the world in the 1920s. It would be fascinating to watch events developing, but it would be hard too because I'd want to warn everyone who would be hurt by the Nazis to get away from them, or try to stop Hitler and I wouldn't be able to.

First, I would like to go back to my childhood, and see my dad. He died at 47 years of age, and only a few weeks away from my high school graduation. I would like to tell him to watch what he eats and to get plenty of exercise. I probably would be like a mother hen.
Second, I would like to go back in time and meet my ancestors in Ireland. That would be so cool to say "hi....I'm your great-great-great-granddaughter". I would also be able to tell whether or not I got any physical traits from them.

My first choice is to go back to the late 60's/early 70's so I could hug my dad. My second choice would be to go back to the 50's. I love the music and the times seem simpler than they are now.
