I don't know if I'm getting older and less tolerant of annoying commercials or if they are getting more annoying than other years.

While I think Vermont Teddy Bears are cute and a good idea and I wish I would have thought of it, their commercial for Valentine's Day is annoying me to no end.

Same goes for the Cash for Gold commercials. Grrr.

And annoying but still not as bad as those two is the woman who had to sterilize her catheters and reuse them. While I realize these are issues people face, I don't really like hearing about it a couple times a night.

Am I getting less tolerant or are these (and I'm sure there's other commercials) commercials annoying other people too.

Oh, I remembered another. The Life Alert commercial when where the woman says "When you have a heart attack like I did and no one is there. Life Alert was there." While that isn't annoying in itself it's they WAY she says it with her head bobbling every which way when she says it.

Okay, sorry if this seems like a venting post. I am, but I'm also interested in the other ladies opinions here too. What do you think? Are they getting more and more annoying? Am I just getting crankier and less tolerant?

I think it's time for Spring to get here so we can turn off the tube and get out of the house :)

There does seem to be an overabundance of annoying commercials and most of them appear to be low budget.

I wonder if that is the goal...make a low budget annoying commercial and people will remember it. Obviously it is working since we are talking about specific ads. ;)

Take care

Yes, we remember them but I will tell you, I will NOT use their products unless I've been using them before the annoying commercial.

And YES! I can't wait for it to get warmer to get out and mess in the garden and take the enjoy the warm sun again.

You need to come to Texas! Temps in the high 60's today with a lovely breeze blowing. I think we had about 2 weeks of winter this year. ;)

14 degrees here and snowing. Winter won't be over for another month and a half.

It's snowing in the Reno, Nevada area tonight.. and yes I'm watching those annoying commercials.

I personally cannot stand the one about the lady who has to re-use catheters  Yuk!

That one is definitely disgusting. They could have gotten the point across without being so gross.

Take care

Ohhhh..... yes, I'm sick of the teddy bears, the cash-for-gold, the Aqua Globes, the Sham-WOW!, the commercials disguised as the news channel (the ones about the "new" loan programs!), the under-the-bed shoe organizer, the Aero Herb garden..... Can you tell I a) watch WAY too much TV and b) live in a cold climate where we've been cooped up since October???

LOL This is a great thread. It's chilly here, but the snow's gone, at least for another day or two.
