DH and I are getting a tax refund this year! Woo-hoo.

We are planning to use it as additional spending money when we go on vacation later this year.

Let us all know what you'll be doing with your refund (if any). Big plans, or are you saving it or using it to catch up on other bills?

The last two years, I had some financial changes and have gotten refunds instead of needing to pay. I don't have anything special planned for it. It will just go into the bank and be pooled with my other finances.

Take care

I really wish we got a refund :( We didn't get any bail-out, umm I mean stimulus checks either.

Our refund checks are very small, state won't even be enough to fill the truck up with gas. Federal was a little bigger but is gone too b/c my Grandfather died right about that time and we used it for the normal funeral things food and flowers. I must say I'm glad it came when it did though, b/c it would have been very tight $$$ wise if we hadn't gotten it.

I've already gotten mine and spent it! This was the first time in 6 yrs I had gotten a return. I work for a company that is laying off left and right, and have no idea if/when the layoffs will hit my dept, so mine went to prepare me and my family for the worst case scenario. I made sure we would have a roof over our heads whether I was laid off or not.

i owed and not only paid that, but also had to send in a quarter of my estimated taxes for next year!

No refund here :( Our goal is always to owe just a small amount, this way we aren't allowing the goverment to use our money. But this year we got hit with a fairly large bill, dh plans carefully but occassionally the IRS finds a way to hit us hard. Sigh.

If we were getting a refund, we would put it towards our first quarter estimated taxes. We've never looked at refunds as extra spending money.

We purposely have "too much" withheld to receive a lump sum, which I know if stupid because the IRS is holding OUR money, and they are gaining the interest, not us, but it works out for us, otherwise it gets spent!!

Ours will go to credit cards and hopefully a mini vacation, and some home repairs.

A couple years ago I ended up owing taxes and that was painful. This year I expect a refund but plan to use it to pay off credit card debt.

If we get a refund, it will go to pay the bills that hit us unexpectedly. We usually come out pretty even. If we owe, it's usually small. If we get a refund, it's usually small. But we can always hope!

We recieved ours and most of it went into savings for our family vacation in Aug. The little bit we did keep out we got to spend on I guess frivelous stuff that we normally don't get to buy. When we were first married we had to pay and now we have a couple of little deductions that help out so we can get a refund.

Ours was small, I ordered a few things online that we've been needing for a while and the rest went into the checking account to be used for household needs. Boring I know but it wasn't large enough to even get excited about it.
