Anyone else lactose intolerant? If so what works for you? Lactaid? The store brand of lactaid?

I can't tolerate milk, but, I have no problem with yogurt or cottage cheese. I always take calcium supplements, just to be sure that I get enough calcium.

I am also Lactose Intolerant. The lactaid pills used to work, but I am now amune to them. I use Lactaid milk instead of regular milk, Bryers makes a really good Lactose Free Vanilla icecream and I can eat 1 yogurt a day. (as long as I dont already have a stomach ache) It took me along time to get used to it. Now I know what I can eat and what I cant. My friends and family are also aware. It makes social gatherings a lot nicer. Someone always makes or brings something with no dairy so I can enjoy also.

I am also Lactose intolerant, but I can eat yogurt and cheese. Like Landy the lactaid pills don't work for me. Here in Tennessee they have Purity milk that sells regular milk with acidophilious (sp) & bifodium cultures and I can drink that.

I am lactose intolerant. I used to buy the lactose tablets but found they really didn't help me much. I just did without many dairy products for many years. Than I decided to try soy milk. Yummy! Different brands will vary in taste, Soy Silk is the best! They have many different flavors and they are all great.

There is also soy ice cream, soy cheese, soy sour cream, soy cream cheese. The choices are endless. I was like a kid in a candy store when I discovered the joys of soy.

There is also Rice milk. I've not tried it, but heard that it is good.
