It's been so quiet around here, I was just wondering what everyone is up to.

It's that time of year that everyone is so busy with graduations, Spring clean up of their yards and houses, gardening, etc so it doesn't suprise me that this board has been very quiet recently.

Just wondering if you are doing anything interesting.

I'm spending a lot of time dealing with the typical seasonal transition activities like getting the yard cleaned up, house aired out and freshened up, etc. There is so much to do outside because it is warm enough that I do a lot less indoors and on the computer.

Then there is the time spent transitioning the closets and drawers from winter to summer clothes, trying to plan some camping trips, and just enjoying some time outside before it gets too hot and all I'll want to do is stay inside the air conditioned house. ;)

I miss the activity on this forum and hope we all have time to come back and visit more often soon.

Take care

Hi JC:
I have been very busy these days. Two nights a week my husband and I work out with our fitness trainer trying to loose
weight. I would love to be able to get into a bathing suit this summer without looking like Mama Moose.... :(
Then Friday night we are doing our 3 year Faith Bible Instiite class. The other days we have been cleaning our porch transplanting our trees in the pots on our porch and I planted some petunias in the pots outside to give it a little color out there. We like to BBQ outside alot during the nicer months. I have 4 weeks left until I get the summer off... yipee! That is when i am going to clean my house take a few classes at the gym and pamper myself. I have been very tired lately but sometimes the result makes it worth it... I have a few closets that are in an emergency situtation... :) They are going to be taken care of this summer when I am home.
God Bless.... Have a good day!

Hi JC, I've been popping in, but I've noticed there hasn't been as much activity. It would really help if we all started a "NEW THREAD" to get the ball rolling again :)

I've been working my Pottery Hobby/Business and spending a lot of time with my 3 local Grandcookies. It's finally starting to look like Spring in Northern Nevada, so it's time to get out in the yard.

Great thread!

I've started three new crochet projects. All very good sized. I've been thinking about putting them on ebay when I'm done. I've been keeping up on what's for sale there and know mine will be in the upper level of what's for sale.

And I've been doing alot of reading. I've gotten involved with paperbackswap.com. It's a book swap group that's free. All you do is pay to ship your books to other members, then you are given a credit. When you have a credit you can order books you want shipped to you. And you can buy credits if you want, I haven't had to yet, but am thinking about it. The credits are very reasonable, just a little bit more than it would cost to mail a book.

And I've been blogging. MykhalJaems.blogspot.com.

We've been trying to get rid of all the junk in our garage. It's become a dumping ground for all sorts of stuff we don't use. Carpet and padding from when we ripped out the carpet in the living room. Non-usable stuff like broken chairs, two old couches, junk left behind from the previous renters.

Thankfully we don't have to worry about my employer closing, or scaling back. I'm at the Long Term Care Unit at the local hospital and thankfully the baby boomers are starting to need help.

And I've been following AMC. Sadly I've become addicted to that show. Just like reading a book I guess.

And I've been working on getting back to my faith. It's a daily struggle am working on it.

Lots of little stuff keeping me busy. I stop by to see what's going on here and very little is being posted. I'm guessing we all are busy with our lives and dubbing online isn't as high a priority.

Hi ladies
I'm new to this site - found it through Hystersisters. I found that site 2 days before my surgery and that site literally saved my sanity. I'm back to work now - I"m a nurse with the mentally retarded and developmentally delayed. Challenging, yes, but I love my patients dearly. Unfortunatly, the place I work at is run by the State of Florida and it is being closed down at the end of this year if not before - all of the facilities of this type in Fla. will eventually be closed. It's sad but there is nothing anyone can do. In the meantime we just try to keep things as "normal" as possible. Eventually I will be looking for a new job. Right now hubby and I are having some long awaited repairs done on our house - you know little things that just pile up until the pile is rather large.
I think I am going to enjoy this site. I have so far. I have to go. I hear a little too much noise outside my office door than I like. Gotta go see what someone is up too

Take care,

Wanda
