As I get older I realize that I need to do more to help my skin. My problem is that my skin is soooo sensitive. My usual regime is to wash my face with Noxema and that's it.
As an example of my sensitive skin, I bought some Bare Minerals samples, used it every other day for a week or so, and yep, broke out.
I have tried various skin creams, even tried the new Cover Girl with Oil of Olay and started breaking out within a week. Cover Girl is my usual foundation, my skin just didn't like the Oil of Olay stuff added in.
My question is, if you have sensitive skin what have you found success with? I would really like to use some type of moisterizer on my face. I hate to pay big $$$$ and than end up breaking out.
Maybe I should just stick with the Noxema and not worry about it?

Boy, do I understand the sensitive skin! I have had luck with the Oil of Olay products, but I see that you have not. All I can say is you need to try different products to see what works. Unfortunately, that can also get expensive. I have many products sitting on the shelf that I just cannot use.
For makeup, the best for me was Artistry. But I can no longer find anyone that sells it. So, I have been experimenting with different brands. I can use Revlon and some Neutrogena. I have not found any mascara that works for me yet though. Oh well, with summer, the most I'll have on is moisturizer and sun screen!
Can you get sample sizes from different stores? Maybe that way you would not have to put out so much money trying to find something that works. There are so many brands that you can try that won't cost as much, compared to going to the department stores. What about the store Ulta? Do you have that where you live. Maybe someone there can offer advice.
Good luck on your search!

Thanks Pam! Yes, I shop at Ulta regularly. I didn't think about asking there. Great idea!
For foundation I have used CoverGirl for years and years and years. That is all I can use it seems as every time I try something else I break out.
I've been thinking about trying Neutrogena for skin care as I think alot of their stuff is hypoallergenic. Of course, hypoallergenic doesn't mean my skin will still like it. ;)
I am going to ask at Ulta and see if they can help or have suggestions.
Samples would be great! I wouldn't even mind paying a few bucks for the samples. I just don't want to spend big bucks only to have the stuff languish on my shelf until I end up throwing it away. If it's a sample, I won't mind trashing it as much as if I had paid big bucks for it.

my dr said if i could only use one thing on my face, to use vitamin c. i use the whole obagi line and skinceuticals vitamin c & e serum. theres no moisterizing with obagi but the c serum leave my skin very dewy.
you can buy good sealed samples of products on ebay. i actually buy my obagi and skinceuticals there and pay a fraction of the cost.

My sister has very sensitive skin. She's very fair, burns really easily....
She has always used the Neutrogena line. They have some really good products and she has had success with it.
