Okay, so we've bought a few things that are 'As Seen on TV.'
The Pedi Paws ~ Our dogs are afraid it. They don't mind it when it's not on, but when it turns on they bolt. We tried getting them used to it, they are fine so long as it's not turned on. I'm pretty sure Tracy would even gnaw on it if we let her, but if it accidentally turned on, she would be completely freaked out.
Soft & Smooth ~ The hair removal system. It's like using sandpaper. I remember in 8th grade when we were making wooden key holders in shop class. The thing I remember most was the endless sanding. We would bring the piece of wood to the teacher and he would pencil where it needed to be sanded more. This is just like that. You think you're finished and you run your hand over the skin and nope, there's more to do still. Maybe if I didn't have two day's worth of stubble? I have just as smooth skin with shaving and it's so much quicker.
Watering Bulbs ~ They work okay. As they are supposed to. The problem with them is I forget to fill them so the plant still gets droopy and looks like it's about to die before I remember to water it. The plant is outside now and nature's doing a much better job keeping it alive than I do in the house.
So what products have you bought that have been promoted on tv? Would you suggest buying it again?
I have never bought anything directly ordering from the ad on TV but have bought the items that have been advertised.
Kaboom cleaner -- I haven't seen this hawked on TV in a long time. I think initially it may have been an order from TV only item. Tried it after hearing good comments about it and think it works very well.
Paint Stick -- I thought it was awesome when I painted at my last house. Once you figured out how much pressure to apply it did an awesome job. No drips, no paint tray and no constant loading paint onto a roller. The only problem was trying to do the hallway which was too narrow to have the stick fully extended so I couldn't fully load it with paint and had to refill it more often.
Watering bulbs -- my mom got these for me and I have not used them. They are too big for the plants I have.
Magic Bullet -- I don't see how this thing would do as well on things they show it doing on TV, but I love it for making single serve smoothies which is why I bought it. Of course there is no room for all the mugs and jars in my kitchen cabinets so I end up washing the same 2 peices while the rest are stored in the box.
Aerogarden -- Got this on a great clearance deal and plan on setting itup after my herbs planted outside die. This will either be in the fall or sooner if they die like they usually do.
Ginsu knives -- my mom got me one years ago. Although it is horrible for chopping, it is great for slicing (especially bread) and never got dull. After several years the plastic handle broke. One day I stumbled on a guy hawking a Ginsu knifes at a supermarket. At this point I cooking more and had upgraded my knives to a high end consumer set. I could never give those knives up because they fit my hand like a glove, but I figured the Ginsu would be a perfect addition to my camping and picnic gear so I bought the set the guy was selling.
Take care

The only thing I bought directly from TV was MANY MANY years ago when infomercials were still new. It was a Wok, and the infomercial was called "The Great Wooooookkkkk of China" :signlol: I still have that Wok today. :D
I bought the soft and smooth at the store. Doesn't really do much. It doesn't hurt, but I don't see where I have to shave any less. I still get stubble the next day.
Ooooh, I almost forgot about Anushka (sp?) It was a vitamin and cream that was suppose to help cellulite. Actually it did help, when I remembered to use it daily. I did for awhile, but than stopped.

"PERFECT STRAP" Bra strap holder. They are horrible. It pulls your staps together in the back. The straps come together so high that you can see the holder in the back neck of your top. Also they are so very uncomfortable.
'PED EGG" Calus remover. The Ped Egg is super sharp metal blades that scrape dry calus from your feet. I like the Dr. Sholls calus file much better.

We didn't buy any from on tv either, got them from different retail stores.
I bought a version of the strap perfect too. Haven't tried them yet. I mainly got them b/c I'm tired of fighting with my bras falling down and even though I should get new ones, I can't replace ALL of the crappy ones at once and this was only $5, and if it helps, that would be great. I work with a girl who has used them, she said they ride higher than they show on tv will see.
I did the soft and smooth hair remover about 12 hours ago. I already have stubble, shaving my legs last longer and is way quicker and easier.

LuvMaui,
I bought the Ped Egg at the store also. I did have a coupon so it only cost me $7. It works okay, the emory pad is very awkward to use. I see they now have one that has a handle on it.
I still laugh about that Wok infomercial. They had banging drums and showed a bunch of people banging out the woks from metal. :signlol:

I have to admit, I absolutely LOVE As Seen On TV stuff!!! :)
Pedipaws -- my dog will tolerate it. So that's good!
Silky Smooth -- works well for me.
Ped Egg -- I used to use it very frequently, before I was forced to wear shoes and socks almost all the time due to orthodic inserts in my shoes. It works well!
I need to look around the house for some more of the stuff I've bought. I remember I used to order stuff from infomercials on TV -- remember Mike Levy and Amazing Discoveries??

I haven't bought from the info-mercials but I have bought or received TV stuff.
PediPaws - Resha tolerates it, but I used to use the Dremel so she's used to it.
Magic Bullet - once you figure out the timing and the order in which to place items into it, it actually does make good salsa and chicken salad. That's all I've used it for
Magic Pasta thing - you know the one, pour boiling water over pasta and it cooks itself. It only works with Spagettini or Angel hair. Anything thicker, doesn't cook = just gets mushy. the instant oriental soup noodles and Rice noodles work well.
Sham-wow: my mom bought them for us. They work. ... not as well as on TV but did a great job after bathing the dog.
As far as the bra thing goes, I haven't tried it but I did go and buy a half dozen Triumph bras with the little hook thing in the back.

I forgot about that one.
Yeah, it doesn't work so well. We thought it would work well for DH b/c he's spilled more than one pot of boiling water straining pasta. He didn't burn himself, but we also got mushy pasta and it was gross.
I had forgotten about that one.
I don't recommend it.

When I first saw that pasta cooker I thought it was a waste of money. Don't you have to boil the water first anyways? So what are you saving by putting the water in a container instead of putting the pasta in a pot on the stove?

Kim -
I managed some really nice fresh pasta dishes while at work. Mixed in some VOO, fresh herbs and grape tomatoes when the pasta was fresh cooked. So much better than reheating in the nuclear oven. :)

I love my Ped-Egg. I was surprised how well it really does work...
